MERSIN (Türkiye) - The SuperCup Women 2026 marked the start of a month-long Breast Cancer Awareness Month initiative across European women's club competitions.
The campaign aims to use the visibility of the competitions to help raise awareness around breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
The initiative was launched at the SuperCup Women in Mersin with dedicated Breast Cancer Awareness Month messaging and the symbolic pink ribbon court marking.
On the court, reigning EuroLeague Women champions Fenerbahce Tarfin defeated EuroCup Women winners CIMSA CBK Mersin 79-71 to secure their third SuperCup Women title.
The game also featured an all-female officiating crew, adding another notable element to the occasion.
Similar activations will now be rolled out across EuroLeague Women and EuroCup Women games throughout the month of October.
Through these activations, FIBA is joining the wider efforts taking place around the world during October to increase visibility and awareness of breast cancer.
