BATAM (Indonesia) – The road to the FIBA 3x3 World Tour continues in Indonesia with another high-stakes stop as the FIBA 3x3 Batam Challenger 2026 takes over Alun Alun Batam Centre on July 25-26. As the 12th Challenger of the season, the tournament carries major significance, with the top three finishers earning coveted tickets to the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Malaga 2026.
A deep field featuring proven FIBA 3x3 World Tour contenders, rising challengers and dangerous dark horses promises two days of high-octane action as every possession could make the difference between extending the season on the World Tour or heading home empty-handed.
Leading the charge is powerhouse Ub (SRB), who once again arrive as one of the favorites thanks to their trademark chemistry and relentless execution. Filip Kaluderovic headlines the Serbian giants as they look to add a third Challenger title to their impressive collection this season.
Miami (USA) also return to the Pro Circuit after nearly a month of rest, with plenty to prove behind Henry Caruso. Meanwhile, Antwerp (BEL) bring their trademark physicality and shooting led by Jonas Foerts. Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (MGL) have consistently proven they can challenge anyone, with Anand Ariunbold capable of taking over games on both ends of the floor.
The depth of the field hardly stops there. DeQing (CHN), spearheaded by Guim Exposito, have shown they can compete with the very best, while Valencia Basket (ESP) arrive with living legend Carlos Martinez looking to guide the Spanish side deep into the knockout rounds.
Asia is also well represented by Taipei WanBao (TPE) and Shinjuku SS (JPN), among others. Leo Branquinho provides the experience and flair for Taipei WanBao, while Samuel Sekiguchi leads an exciting Shinjuku squad eager to make a statement against elite international competition. Hosts Indonesia have three squads ready to rumble -- Waisai (INA), Balige (INA) and Ambon (INA).
