Unparalleled coverage for Italy's World Cup Qualifiers on RAI, ELEVEN and Sky Sport

ROME (Italy) - Italy's last four European Qualifiers games for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 are to have outstanding visibility with free-to-air live coverage on RAI.

ROME (Italy) - Italy's last four European Qualifiers games for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 will have extended broadcast visibility with the announcement of free-to-air live coverage on RAI.

FIBA's broadcast partner, ELEVEN, who reached an agreement with RAI to broadcast the games, will broadcast the Italian games alongside all other matchups from the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers. Sky Sport will also televise the Italian team games.

That means the showdown between Group L's top two teams, recently crowned EuroBasket 2022 champions Spain and quarter-finalists Italy (both 5-1) on November 11 in Pesaro. The Italians' second game of the international window will be played at Georgia on November 14.

In the February window, Italy host Ukraine on February 23 and then play at Spain on February 26.

To have Italian national team basketball on RAI, Eleven and Sky Sport provides widespread value for all stakeholders, including most importantly the fans.

National Team basketball has been an enormous hit the past several years following the introduction of the international windows.

The popularity of international basketball was most recently illustrated by an incredible EuroBasket that was staged in Berlin, Cologne, Milan, Prague and Tbilisi.

Live broadcasts of EuroBasket 2022 were watched by millions of fans across Europe and the rest of the world via FIBA's broadcast partners, complemented by the Courtside 1891 digital service.

EuroBasket 2022 provided plenty of evidence of the power of national team basketball as a major audience driver for free-to-air broadcasters across the continent, giving the sport unmatched visibility and a place in the national consciousness.
