SHENZHEN (China) - All six Asia and Oceania nations set to participate in the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournaments have been confirmed.
With the six highest-ranked national teams at the FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2025 qualifying for the global event, Japan, China, Korea, the Philippines, and New Zealand now know they will have a chance to qualify for the Women's World Cup on the road to Berlin 2026 while Australia also qualify directly for Berlin 2026.
A total of 24 national teams will compete across four FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournaments - each featuring six teams - in March 2026 to determine the 16-team field for the Women's World Cup.
Hosts Germany, FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2025 champions Australia, FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 champions Belgium and FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2025 champions USA will participate in the Qualifying Tournaments but are already assured of direct berths for the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026.
FIBA
