    The road to the next Women's World Cup Final will begin in March 2026

    The 24 teams set to compete in the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup Qualifiers 2026 are now confirmed following the conclusion of all Women's Continental Cups.

    BERLIN (Germany) - With the successful conclusion of all the Women's Continental Cups - the Women's AfroBasket, Women's AmeriCup, Women's Asia Cup and Women's EuroBasket - the 24 teams that will participate in the four FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup Qualifying Tournaments in March 2026 are now known.

    Africa

    Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, and South Sudan qualified as the Top 4 teams at FIBA Women's AfroBasket 2025.

    Americas

    Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Puerto Rico and USA qualified as the Top 6 teams at FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2025.

    Asia and Oceania

    Australia, China, Japan, Korea, New Zealand and Philippines qualified as the Top 6 teams at FIBA Women's AsiaCup 2025.

    Europe

    Women's World Cup 2026 Hosts Germany will participate.

    Czechia and Hungary, winners of the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup Pre-Qualifying Tournaments that took take place in August 2024 in Kigali, Rwanda and Mexico City, Mexico, have also qualified for the Women's World Cup Qualifying Tournaments.

    Belgium, France, Italy, Spain and Türkiye qualified as the Top 5 teams at FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025.

    Qualified as a Top 4 team at FIBA Women's AfroBasket 2025

    Qualified as a Top 6 team at FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2025

    Qualified as a Top 6 team at FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2025

    Qualified as a Top 5 team at FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025

    Belgium; France; Italy; Spain; Türkiye

    In March 2026, 24 teams will compete for one of 16 spots in the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026.

    Women's World Cup 2026 host nation Germany and the winners of each Women’s Continental Cup 2025 will take part in the qualifiers, but they have already secured their spots in the World Cup - leaving just 11 tickets to Berlin up for grabs.
