PEJA (Kosovo) - Amber Melgoza was named Most Valuable Player after dominant performances helped Malta capture the FIBA Women’s European Championship for Small Countries 2026 title.
Melgoza - who also claimed the award in 2024 - was joined on the All-Star Five lineup by Albania duo Ornela Lalaj and Enisa Semanjaku, as well as Kosovo pair Astera Tuhina and Saranda Daci.
Amber Melgoza - Malta
Amber Melgoza once again proved to be the tournament’s dominant offensive force, leading the competition in scoring with 34.5 points per game while also averaging 13.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists. The shooting guard played a key role throughout Malta’s unbeaten title-winning campaign and capped off the tournament with 29 points in the Final against Albania.
Ornela Lalaj - Albania
Ornela Lalaj once again proved to be Albania’s key presence throughout the tournament, leading the competition in rebounding with 14.5 boards per game. The forward also averaged 13.3 points and 3.5 assists per contest, helping Albania reach the Final with a series of all-around performances.
Enisa Semanjaku - Albania
Enisa Semanjaku provided consistent scoring production for Albania throughout the tournament; averaging 13.2 points per game while also contributing 5.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists. The shooting guard also led Albania in scoring during the Semi-Final victory over Kosovo, helping her nation secure a place in the Final.
Astera Tuhina - Kosovo
Astera Tuhina led the scoring for hosts Kosovo throughout the tournament; averaging 15.0 points and 3.3 assists per game. The point guard consistently helped keep her side competitive and delivered several strong fourth-quarter performances, including a 24-point effort against Albania in the Semi-Final.
Saranda Daci - Kosovo
Saranda Daci played an important all-around role for hosts Kosovo during their run to the bronze medal, contributing on both ends of the floor throughout the tournament. The center averaged 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game while helping Kosovo remain competitive against several strong opponents.
