    World’s best 3x3 basketball teams ready for blockbuster battles in iconic Warsaw setting

    WARSAW (Poland) – The countdown is officially on. In just one month, the world’s top 3x3 basketball stars will descend on Warsaw for the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2026, set to take place from June 1-7 in one of Europe’s most vibrant capitals.

    Marking the 10th edition of the flagship event, the tournament will feature 40 of the best national teams -- 20 men’s and 20 women’s -- competing for global glory in the fast-paced, high-scoring game that defines 3x3 basketball.

    Spain (men) and the Netherlands (women) enter as defending champions after lifting the trophies at the 2025 edition in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, but with depth and talent spread across all pools, the race for the titles in Warsaw is wide open.

    Iconic setting

    The event will be staged in downtown Warsaw at the Parade Square (Plac Defilad), next to the iconic Palace of Culture and Science -- one of the tallest buildings in Europe and a symbol of the Polish capital. Known for its mix of history, green spaces and modern energy, Warsaw provides the perfect backdrop for a global 3x3 celebration.

    Tournament format

    The competition begins with the pool phase from June 1-4, where teams will battle in a round-robin format within their pools. The stakes then rise as the knockout rounds take center stage from June 5-7, culminating in the Finals where the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2026 winners will be crowned.

    Pool A: Serbia, Austria, Spain, Australia, Madagascar Pool B: USA, Latvia, Mongolia, Czechia, Poland Pool C: Netherlands, Germany, China, Japan, New Zealand Pool D: Lithuania, France, Belgium, Puerto Rico, Brazil

    Loaded with powerhouse nations and emerging contenders, the men’s draw promises intense battles from day one, with multiple title contenders spread across all four pools.

    Women’s pools

    Pool A: Netherlands, Poland, Czechia, Azerbaijan, Madagascar Pool B: Spain, USA, Mongolia, Hungary, Australia Pool C: China, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Philippines Pool D: France, Canada, Japan, Ukraine, Lithuania
