PITESTI (Romania) - The future stars will all head to Romania this summer for the FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket spectacular.
The tournament will take place in Pitesti, Romania, from August 14-22.
Who is participating?
A total of 16 teams will compete for glory in this age category. They have been split into four groups of four for the Group Phase as follows:
Group A: France, Serbia, Romania, Croatia Group B: Italy, Latvia, Türkiye, Israel Group C: Spain, Poland, Bulgaria, Czechia Group D: Slovenia, Germany, Lithuania, Hungary
What is the schedule?
The Group Phase will take place over the tournament's opening three days, with a rest day on August 17. Based on their group position, teams will be seeded for the Round of 16 stage.
The competition will continue as a tournament bracket until the Final on August 22, with Classification games also determining each of the 16 positions.

Who were the winners in 2025?
Spain continued its dominance at this age level, beating Slovenia 62-47 to claim its 11th title and first gold since 2016
Isobel Hernandez had 19 points and 4 assists for Spain, who led from start to finish, but were still pushed by their Slovenian counterparts throughout. Hernandez was supported by Claudia Lostal, who scored 10 points and pulled down 9 rebounds.
Germany claimed their first medal in nine years by coming from a double-digit deficit to edge Latvia 71-66 in a pulsating Third Place game.
Meanwhile, Belgium, Great Britain and 2024 champions, Finland, were relegated after finishing in the bottom three places. They will be replaced this summer by Lithuania, Bulgaria and Türkiye, who gained promotion from Division B.
Former MVPs
Spain's Isabel Hernandez deservedly claimed FIBA U16 EuroBasket 2025 MVP honors as she led the team to glory for the first time since 2016.
The point guard averaged 13.7 points and 3.7 assists a game, with her game-high 19 points in the Final against Slovenia capping off a wonderful tournament.
