SHANGHAI (China) - We're back! And buckle up because the final stretch of FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2025 starts in global city Shanghai on September 27-28. Here is all the important information for the 11th stop on this season's WT. Where can I watch the WT Shanghai? The action runs from September 27-28 and you can follow it live on the FIBA 3x3 YouTube channel. Who is competing in Shanghai? 11 of the top 13 teams in the rankings and a total of 14 squads: Ub, Amsterdam Rabobank, Toulouse, Miami, Raudondvaris Hoptrans, Chongming, Riffa, Partizan, Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy, Skyliners, Hangzhou, Lugano, Shanghai, Atyrau What are the pools?
Who are the favorites?
This is an absolutely loaded draw, filled with almost all of the highest ranked teams on the planet. But one team stands out from the rest and that's Ub (SRB), who are gunning for a crazy sixth straight WT title.
This will be their hardest challenge yet amid such a tough field, which includes a desperate Amsterdam Rabobank (NED) still searching for their first WT title in 2025. The signs look good because superstar Worthy de Jong has been all hype as he prepares for an all out assault.
Toulouse (FRA) have been a bit quiet since they stormed to victory at WT Amsterdam. But the time feels right for them to start making noise and they'll lean on all-round superstar Franck Seguela to get them going as he looks to remind everyone that he was ranked No.1 earlier in the year.
Miami (USA) are also winners on this season's WT, but the Utsunomiya Opener now feels like a long time ago. The Americans are absolutely brimming with talent as Mitch Hahn eyes a second MVP, while Henry Caruso is these days known as Captain America.
There are so many other contenders, but it would be foolish not to mention Raudondvaris Hoptrans (LTU) who boast three dudes part of Lithuania's historic first ever Europe Cup title, including big fella Aurelijus Pukelis.
And we should mention Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (MGL) and Riffa (BRN), who both have special memories of Shanghai having won the last couple of titles in the Chinese mega city.
Who are the players to watch?
We've already named a bunch but there are more stars in Shanghai than the reviews for One Battle After Another. We just have to start with GOAT Strahinja Stojacic who has been collecting MVPs for fun this season although last time they won in Lausanne it was muscular Nemanja Barac taking home top honors.
Speaking of powerfully built players and we just have to give a shout out to Stefan Milivojevic, who is back in business having collected back-to-back Challenger MVPs.
The spectacular Serb isn't the only star arriving in Shanghai with a swagger because Mike Efevberha has been the head chef for Lugano and he's been cooking up some tasty dishes recently.
OG Nauris Miezis is also in red hot form after producing a vintage performance at the Europe Cup to ensure Latvia claimed a silver medal.
Miezis isn't the only sharpshooter because Anand Ariunbold and Stefan Kojic can make Shanghai warm up in an instant. If dunking is more your thing than Aleksandar Lazic can soar higher than a plane.
And we just have to mention two-way marvel Dennis Donkor, who was crowned MVP almost exactly 12 months ago in Shanghai.
