BUCHAREST (Romania) - It's the final countdown, with the FIBA 3x3 World Tour regular season finishing with a bang in Bucharest on November 8-9. Here is all the important information for the 16th stop on this season's WT. Where can I watch the WT Bucharest? The action runs from November 8-9 and you can follow it live on the FIBA 3x3 YouTube channel. Who is competing in Bucharest? Fourteen of the top 22 teams in the rankings and a total of 16 squads: Ub, Miami, Amsterdam Rabobank, Liman, Toulouse, Raudondvaris Hoptrans, Chongming, Vienna, Skyliners, Rifa, Carolina, Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy, Barcelona, Lausanne, Podebrady, Bucharest Stiinta What are the pools?
Who are the favorites?
Let's shake it up and start with the most recent champs Skyliners (GER), who made history to become the first German team to win on the WT. They were led by young gun Leon Fertig who has gone up a level as he learns trade secrets from legendary Stefan Kojic.
It will be tough for them to go back-to-back in an absolutely loaded field filled with teams either tuning up for the Manama Final or desperately trying to qualify for the showpiece event of 2025.
No.1 Ub (SRB) have been the standout team yet again but have stumbled slightly recently after three straight semi-final losses. No.2 seed Miami (USA) have been able to win semis, their last four on the WT, but have lost three of their last four finals.
The Americans will lean on Henry Caruso, who is not only firmly established as hoops power USA's best player but he might just be No.2 on the planet behind you know who.
Liman (SRB) and Raudondvaris Hoptrans (LTU) have won WT titles this season and continue to prove they are absolutely consistent forces. Andreja Milutinovic has followed a long line of legendary talismanic figures for Liman, while Aurelijus Pukelis and Evaldas Dziaugys bring the mania for this Lithuanian team.
We'll cap this list at five which is really hard to do in such a loaded field, but we just have to go with Amsterdam Rabobank (NED) to finally end their title curse right at the last stop. If they do then you just know Worthy de Jong will walk off with the MVP ahead of the Dutch Masters' title defense of their World Tour Final crown.
Who are the players to watch?
We generally start off with the same dude? Why? Because Strahinja Stojacic is the GOAT and he's extra motivated after Ub's recent title drought. 'Doctor Strange' is so close to finishing another season with the crown, but the job isn't quite done yet.
There are other superstars ready for an epic finish and there is still time for Franck Seguela to end the season on a high. The Frenchman was No.1 rated earlier in the season before things went downhill but we all know he boasts plenty of flair when he's fit and firing.
Speaking of former WT MVPs and Vienna (AUT) boast two of them - Quincy Diggs and Nico Kaltenbrunner, dudes you may have heard of.
Riffa (BRN) are fighting for a spot to the Manama Final, a position that looked unlikely after long struggles through the season but inspirational Dennis Donkor engineered a stunning turnaround to revive his team.
2025 will always be remembered for Guim Exposito's heroics at the World Cup, and now he's ready to do something similar on the WT.
And we just can't forget the gunslingers - Nauris Miezis, Anand Ariunbold and Antonio Ralat who can all heat up Bucharest to unseasonal temperatures if they catch fire.
