SHANGHAI (China) – The FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series rolls on with another exciting stop as the world’s best women’s 3x3 teams head to China for the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Shanghai 2026 on May 16-17.

Where is the event?
The FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Shanghai 2026 will take place at the Shanghai Global Harbor in Shanghai, China as the country hosts its second WS stop of the season.
Shanghai continues to grow as one of the key destinations on the WS calendar and will once again welcome elite teams from around the world.
When is it?
The event runs from May 16-17.

Who won last time?
Canada captured the title at the 2025 edition of the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Shanghai Final after an impressive run to the crown.
They return in 2026 as the second seed and one of the favorites once again.

How does the competition work?
10 teams are automatically placed into the Main Draw while six teams compete in the Qualifying Draw for the remaining two spots.
Teams in the Main Draw are split into four pools of three teams each. The top two teams from every pool advance to the knockout rounds.
From there, it is single-elimination basketball all the way to the Final.
Which players should you watch?
Noortje Driessen (Netherlands) One of the biggest stars on the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series circuit, Driessen brings size, versatility and a relentless motor for the top-seeded Dutch side. She will be central to Netherlands’ ambitions in Shanghai.

Paige Crozon (Canada) A proven superstar on the global 3x3 basketball stage, Crozon remains the heartbeat of Canada’s attack. Expect her to deliver big moments once again in Shanghai.
Janis Boonstra (Netherlands) The current No. 1-ranked Women's 3x3 basketball player in the world, Boonstra’s combination of toughness, experience and scoring ability gives Netherlands another major weapon. She thrives in high-pressure games.
Brianna Fraser (Neftchi SOCAR) Fraser brings athleticism and energy on both ends of the floor for Neftchi SOCAR, who enter the tournament as one of the dark-horse contenders.
Marena Whittle (Australia) Australia will rely heavily on Whittle’s leadership and scoring punch as they battle through the Qualifying Draw.
