Staples, Miller, Lipek and Southerland qualify for FIBA 3x3 World Cup Dunk Contest Final

    NANTES (FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2017) - Professional dunkers Chris Staples, Jordan Southerland (USA), Rafal 'Lipek' Lipinski (Poland) and Vadim 'Miller' Poddubchenko (Ukraine) earned their ticket to the final.

    NANTES (FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2017) - Professional dunkers Chris Staples, Jordan Southerland (USA), Rafal 'Lipek' Lipinski (Poland) and Vadim 'Miller' Poddubchenko (Ukraine) earned their ticket to the final of the dunk contest at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2017, in Nantes, France on June 19.

    The super athletic Staples brought the French crowd on its feet with the only perfect 30 of the dunk contest qualifier after going 360 between the legs over 2 people. He scored a total of 57 points.

    The winners of the last five editions of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Dunk Contest Lipek and Miller followed with 56 and 54 points respectively.

    Jordan Southerland also qualified with 54 points.

    Kobe Paras (Philippines) - the only 3x3 player who challenged the professional dunkers - fell short with 50 points.

    The reigning World Champion Dmitry 'Smoove' Krivenko was also eliminated after the injured Ukrainian tallied just 44 points in 2 dunks.

    The final will take place at 8.30pm local time (GMT+2) on Wednesday June 21.
