PARIS (France) - Puerto Rico are ready to roll at the Olympic Women's Basketball Tournament Paris 2024 after they revealed the final list of 12 players who will represent them at what will be only their second ever appearance at the Games.
The 12-player roster was confirmed in the wake of an eye-catching 62-56 preparation game success against Americas rivals Canada. It was a familiar script as team leaders Arella Guirantes and Mya Hollingshed combined for 28 points in the victory.
The duo are also the headline names on the roster and will be leaned on heavily to help the underdogs try and make history as Puerto Rico search for a first ever Olympic win.
Both Guirantes and Hollingshed will be debuting at the Games, with Puerto Rico returning only six members of the lineup that competed at Tokyo 2020.
Experienced guard Pamela Rosado is one of those and she averaged 10.7 points per game in the Japanese capital.
Puerto Rico will compete in Group A with China, Serbia and Spain.
