HAMBURG (Germany) - The very last gameday of the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 Group Phase will see the remaining two tickets snapped up for the Quarter-Finals of the competition.
All four nations competing in Hamburg have an opportunity to progress, with the main focus very much on whether Sweden could spring a surprise on current Group D leaders Spain.
Meanwhile, in Brno, there will be another passionate crowd in support of co-hosts Czechia who are chasing pole position in Group C. But to accomplish this, they must take down current holders Belgium.
There are several ways for you to watch FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 on your TV through local broadcast partners. However, not all broadcasters will show every game from the tournament. We recommend checking the specific game pages to see which broadcasters in your country will be airing the games.
Game of the Day: SWE vs ESP
With two double-digit wins already banked, Spain are red-hot favorites to advance as Group D winners in Hamburg. They've looked strong at both ends of the court and have a super mix of experience and youth. A new generation is picking up the baton nicely. But Sweden have also caught the eye after beating Great Britain and in Klara Lundquist, they have a baller even the tough Spanish defense might find tricky to slow down. Plus, Sweden can call on the vast know-how of Frida Eldebrink who has been hugely influential, so an upset really can't be ruled out.
Did you know?
Sweden have not recorded multiple wins in the Group Phase since 1987.
Klara Lundquist has had a double-double in both of her games and since the start of the 2005 edition, only two players have managed double-doubles in the first three games (Anete Steinberga of Latvia in 2017 and Jonquel Jones of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2021).
Belgium’s victory by a 43-point margin in 2023 (84-41) remains Czechia’s heaviest ever defeat in the competition.
Germany lost their most recent game but haven’t lost back-to-back fixtures in a tournament since 2011.
Montenegro have lost their last four games in the competition and if they lose against Portugal, it will match their longest losing sequence in the competition.
