    FIBA WBL Asia 2025 schedule adjusted due to typhoon

    Slight changes as 'Ragasa' expected

    BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The FIBA Regional Office-Asia on Monday, September 22, has decided to adjust the schedule of the FIBA Women's Basketball League Asia (WBL Asia) 2025 in Dongguan, China.

    After careful consideration and close coordination with the relevant authorities, the games will tip off on Tuesday, September 23, at 09:00 local time, with the second game of the double-header to be played at 11:15.

    The city of Dongguan has been ordered to be shut down from 14:00 of the said date until 06:00 of September 25 as part of the local government unit's precautionary measures in anticipation of Super Typhoon Ragasa.

    No games will be held on Wednesday, September 24. Games will resume on Thursday, September 25, granted that the situation has improved.

    Barring any hitch, the WBL Asia 2025 stays on track to conclude on Sunday, September 28, featuring the Third-Place Game and the Final.
