SANTIAGO (Chile) – The 2025 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup is filled to the brim with talent from all over the Americas. From continental legends like Damiris Dantas and Kayla Alexander to rising stars like Olivia Miles and Kamilla Cardoso, the tournament is jam-packed with incredible players leaving it all on the floor to guide their countries to the promised land. At the conclusion of the group stage, these are 10 of the most outstanding performers:
Kamilla Cardoso (Brazil)
The Chicago Sky star leads the tournament in efficiency (21.5) and has Brazil off to a perfect start that helped them extend their AmeriCup winning streak to 12 games. The 24-year-old is averaging 11.8 points, 9.0 rebounds and a tournament-best 2.3 blocks.
Olivia Miles (United States)
Miles leads the event in assists (8.3) while also averaging 8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals for the undefeated United States team. She’s second in efficiency (19.0).
Damiris Dantas (Brazil)
Dantas is the tournament’s leading scorer (18.3 points per game) and recently surpassed 400 points at AmeriCup to become No. 2 in the modern era (since 2003). The Brazilian veteran also leads in the field goal percentage (50.9) and averaged 6.3 rebounds. She’s also shooting 50 percent from long distance.
Gianna Kneepkens (United States)
The UCLA guard leads United States in efficiency (15.8) and is fourth overall in the tournament. She’s averaging 13.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists while guiding USA to a 4-0 start.
Yvonne Ejim (Canada)
Ejim is tied for fourth in efficiency (15.8) while averaging 5.5 points, 9.0 rebounds (third overall in the tournament), 1.5 assists and a steal per game. She shot 11-for-18 from the field.
Diana Cabrera (Argentina)
Cabrera is the tournament’s leading rebounder (9.8 per game). The 31-year-old center has averages of 7 points, 1 assist, half a block and half a steal for a team that finished third in Group A with a 2-2 record. She’s sitting at No. 12 in efficiency (13.0).
Mya Hollingshed (Puerto Rico)
Hollingshed is averaging 8.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.8 blocks, while also being No. 2 in the tournament in steals (2.3). The 25-year-old power forward helped Puerto Rico to a 3-1 record in Group B, good for second place. Hollingshed is No. 9 in efficiency (13.5).
Kayla Alexander (Canada)
Alexander made history this week by rising to No. 2 in the Women’s AmeriCup modern era rebounding list, displacing fellow Canadian Kim Gaucher. She now sits only 34 rebounds away from the record (since 2003). The 34-year-old is averaging 10.3 points, 8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks, good for No. 9 in efficiency (13.5).
Arella Guirantes (Puerto Rico)
Guirantes is the tournament’s second-leading scorer (17.5 points per game). She’s also averaging 6.3 points and 2.5 assists while shooting 92.9 percent at the free throw line (No. 2.). She’s also 11th in efficiency (13.3) while leading a very strong Puerto Rican squad.
Anisa Jeffreis (Mexico)
Jeffries is averaging 11.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.3 steals, good enough for the eighth best efficiency in the tournament (14.0). She had a 15-point, 11-rebound double-double against Colombia and contributed 13 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals in the win over Chile that gave Mexico its ticket to the Quarter-Finals.
