History
Founded in 1952, Al Arabi are one of Qatar's oldest and most successful multi-sport clubs. Although their football team has historically dominated headlines, the basketball division has carved out a formidable reputation of its own.
Al Arabi have won numerous domestic basketball titles, including Qatar Basketball League championships and Qatar Cup victories, solidifying their status as a top-tier contender locally.
Including this previous season, Al Arabi SC have the second most amount of Qatari Basketball League titles with 10 in total.
They have an impressive resume at the international level as well, having won the GCC Clubs Championship in 2008. More recently, Al Arabi won the Arab Club basketball Championship earlier this month.
Their ability to consistently produce competitive teams over the years speaks volumes about the club’s dedication to fostering top-notch talent, and they are determined to continue this legacy in their maiden FIBA WASL campaign.

Path to 2024/2025 FIBA WASL
Al Arabi’s journey to the 2024/2025 FIBA WASL season is built upon their consistent success in the Qatar Basketball League, especially in its most recent edition.
They finished the regular season with a 13-3 record, wrapping up the regular season with a 4-game winning streak to clinch a spot in the Final where they eventually overcame Al Ahli Doha, 68-61, to clinch the championship.
That has earned them the right to represent Qatar on the regional stage, determined as well to live up to their storied reputation.
