    10. Monique Bobongie - Australia

With her newly gained WNBL experience stepping out with Canberra Capitals, Bobongie should be in a position to step up more than usual for the Gems. Already a big part of their success including the U18 title last year, she has the mindset of a leader and the kind of all-around guard skills that mean she is always impacting the game at both ends of the floor.

Maybe an Opal in the medium term, she could accelerate this transition with a good showing.

    9. Clara Silva - Portugal

Perhaps fueled by not being given the green light to play in Portugal's historic first ever appearance at the FIBA Women's EuroBasket last month, Silva might have a point to prove. Their best prospect in years, the center has been brilliant at youth level. She's just completed her Freshman season in the NCAA and has the qualities needed to make it to the top.

Strong and assured inside, she also has the mindset of a point guard and that is a great mix.

    8. Jerzy Robinson - USA

Universally labelled as a five star recruit, a fantastic College career looks inevitable for a baller that already impressed on the international stage as MVP of the FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup 2024. Racking up more than 20 points per game, that underlined how much of a rhythm scorer she is. Once she drops a bucket, she can be like a runaway train.

But she's more than about scoring and will excel on the glass due to her physicality.

    7. Ainhoa Risacher - France

A quality young player who has a basketball IQ that is off the charts, Risacher uses those smarts to tremendous effect for France. An MVP at U16 a couple of year ago, she has went from strength to strength in her development, helped by balling with LDLC ASVEL Feminin in the French League and EuroCup Women.

Defensively she is a real power because of her wing span and the way she uses it. She is a scorer, creator, leader and great team player.

    6. Jasmine Bascoe - Canada

It takes a lot of work to throw a defensive blanket over Bascoe who is so adept at slicing to the bucket or creating off the dribble. Her ability to pull up short and consistently make shots means she needs some super serious attention. She's been showing her scoring know-how at Villanova by pouring in more than 16 points per outing.

In the All-Star Five at U18 last year, it wouldn't be a shock if she gained individual recognition at this tournament too.

    5. Gal Raviv - Israel

A scoring machine, her devastating performances at U18 level fueled her nation's historic run to the Semi-Finals. Racking up more than 17 points per game, she was unstoppable at times but the most important element of her game is that she really does it all - contributing around 5 rebounds and 5 assists per outing as well.

Israel are a force with her in situ and 18 points per outing in the NCAA for Quinnipiac further highlights her offensive firepower.

    4. Nell Angloma - France

The MVP of the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket 2024, Angloma is shifting up the gears quickly in her development as a rising star. During the last couple of tournaments, she's used her assets well - having an even bigger impact than ever.

Her versatility also makes her vital in any game and the fact she inked a double-digit scoring return for BLMA in EuroCup Women 2024-25 against pro ballers, underlines her ability to compete physically and mentally.

    3. Syla Swords - Canada

The fact Swords stepped out at Paris 2024 for Canada tells you all you need to know about her potential and fans will hope after her FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2025 bronze medal heroics, she'll still be landing in Brno.

Previously the guard made the U19 All-Second Team in 2023, taking Canada to third place. Also with more than 16 points per game in the NCAA for Michigan, it's been a great 12 months. If she suits up, her scoring and smarts will be vital.

    2. Jazzy Davidson - USA

Fun to watch and oozing natural talent, Davidson is on a skywards trajectory right now and alongside the hard work being undertaken, get ready for her to possibly become a big star. The ESPN Class of 2025 leader, that tells you a lot of what you need to know. A stone-cold killer with the ball in her hands, she's shifty off it too, making her a challenging defensive assignment.

Her FIBA 3x3 U18 Women's World Cup gold also shines a light on her skill-set.

    1. Sienna Betts - USA

Betts looks destined to be USA's primary baller at this event and willl be afrontrunner for MVP. Her talent level is massive and it's not just her effectiveness under the hoop. Yes, she has the size to terrorize defenses down low, but also has a nice ability to knock down shots when left unguarded, while her passing vision is exceptional for her position.

UCLA have got themselves a great one and it will be evidenced as she prepares to put on a show in Brno.
