Let's just say Christian Anderson was making two people happy all game for Germany against Serbia with 12 assists - which ranked tied for fourth all time in FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup history.

Anderson registered 12 assists in Germany 92-83 win in the Round of 16 to reach the Quarter-Finals. That was just the ninth time that has been accomplished in a FIBA U19 World Cup game.

"My teammates make it easy for me. We have a bunch of dominant players that I can pass to and they finish the shot. It just makes my job easy. It feels good to have 12 assists. It’s probably the most I have had in my career," said Anderson, who also picked up 8 points and 4 rebounds in the victory.
"We all know how to share the ball. We have all played together for a long time so we know each other’s strengths and where to find each other. Our chemistry is unmatched."
The all-time mark is held by France's Alexandre Bouzidi with 14 against Madagascar in 2023. Puerto Rico's Andre Curbelo and John Harper Jr of Japan both picked up 13 assists - Curbelo against China in 2019 and Harper versus Korea in 2021.
Anderson came into the game leading Germany with assists, dealing out 5.0 dimes per game.
