LEON (Mexico) – Canada captured the gold medal at the FIBA U18 AmeriCup 2026 on Sunday, defeating the United States 67–65 in the Final at Domo de la Feria in León, Mexico. The Canadians lifted the trophy for the first time in tournament history, while the United States collected their second silver medal. Earlier in the day, Brazil defeated Puerto Rico 83–77 in the Third-Place Game to secure their fifth bronze medal. Canada's Javion Tyndale was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player after helping lead his team to the title. The point guard headlined the All-Star Five alongside his teammate Lyris Robinson (CAN), Quentin Coleman (USA), Pedro Souza (BRA), and Felipe Quiñones (PUR).
