    Five players lit it up on the sixth day of action in Brno as the race for silverware intensified.

    BRNO (Czechia) - The curtain has fallen on the penultimate gameday of the FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 with a number of players using the spotlight to deliver some excellent individual performances.

    Here are your five Top Performers based on performance efficiency from the games for 1st to 8th place.

    Yuanshan Li was the hero for China as they came out on top in a drama-filled test against Slovenia 73-71. Once again underlining her scoring ability, the winger racked up a superb 30 points, also adding 2 boards and 2 steals.

    Hana Jerkovic did her best to get Slovenia over the line with a strong display that returned 21 points, 4 assists and 2 rebounds.

    Nation Williams was at the heart of USA beating Canada 86-60 to ride their way into another Final. She harvested a nice double-double of 14 points and 11 boards, as well as a super 6 steals.

    Emilia Ainley made it a day to remember for New Zealand with a vibrant 77-52 success against Japan. The center was just short of a double-double after posting a smart shooting display for 14 points, as well as snapping up 9 rebounds.

    New Zealand also prospered from the backcourt work of Charis Broughton who made a splash for her side with 19 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
