PITESTI (Romania) - Spain’s Amelia Alonso was named MVP of the FIBA U16 Women’s EuroBasket 2026, as she guided her side to a 12th continental title.
Alonso was a standout on a Spain roster that went unbeaten throughout the tournament. She averaged 15.0 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3.3 steals per game, leading the way in the Final with 18 points and 5 rebounds against Slovenia, further showcasing her talent.
Alonso was joined in the All-Star Five by her teammate Paula Reynal, Slovenia's Veronika Ferjancic, Latvia's Nadine Graudina and Kimberly Kanayan N'Simba of France.
