Hosts Greece head into Final; coast past Norway
Greece used a strong defensive showing in the first half to beat Norway 82-52 and punch their ticket to the Tournament 3 Final.
Apart from a few blips in the second quarter, the hosts were in control for the majority, taking a comfortable double-digit lead and never taking their foot off the gas.
Lisa Itoya paced Greece with 20 points, helped along by 11 from Marianthi Touloupi. Norway were led by Julie Engebretsen, who had 17 points and 5 steals.
Iceland deservedly triumphed over Denmark
Iceland built on their strong start to overcome a stubborn Denmark side 87-78 in their T3 Semi-Final.
Berglind Hlynsdottir delivered a superb all-around display, as she led Iceland with 31 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals, and 4 blocks. She shot an efficient 12-of-21 from the field and went 4-of-7 from three-point land. Run Sveinbjornsdottir added 20 points, including 10 in the first quarter, setting the tone for Iceland to bag their win and head to the Final.
Mille Boje Sorensen led Denmark with 25 points and 12 rebounds.
