PIESTANY (Slovakia) - Belgium sailed to victory in Tournament 1 of FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket 2026, Division B.
They led from start to finish in overpowering Sweden 75-57 in the Final to join Greece as the second promoted side, as both will now play in Division A next summer.
Eflin Nalli led the winners with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals as Belgium asserted their dominance from the start; leading 25-8 after the first period and 52-15 at the break - effectively ending the game as a contest.
Lily Jans added 10 for Belgium. Ajna Bajagilovic had a game-high 16 points in vain for Sweden, who missed out on promotion.
In the Third Place Game, hosts Slovakia finished Tournament 2 on a high by defeating Switzerland 61-49. Ema Koristova paced the winners with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals.
Alma Kapetanovic had 19 points, 11 rebounds and 8 steals for the Swiss.
The last remaining mini-tournament takes place in Bertrange, Luxembourg from August 17-22 when the final promotion spot will be decided.
