What's at stake?
The top four teams in the tournament will qualify for the FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2027. So far, six other national teams have already secured their places in next year's continental championship.

Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Dominican Republic, after finishing in the top three at the Centrobasket Qualifiers.

How are the groups set?
Seven teams will compete in this edition of the South American Qualifiers, divided into one group of four teams and one group of three. Following the official draw, the groups are as follows:
What is the competition format?
Each team will play every other team in their group once.
The winners of each group will advance directly to the Semi-finals.
The fourth-place team in Group B will play for positions fifth through seventh.
The teams that finish second in each group will face the teams that finish third in the opposite group (2B vs. 3A and 2A vs. 3B) in the Quarter-finals.
The Quarter-final winners will advance to the Semi-finals to face the group winners, while the Quarter-final losers will compete for positions fifth through seventh.

Who is the defending champion?
Argentina claimed the title in the 2024 edition held in Chile. La Albiceleste has won two of the last three editions of the tournament. Prior to that, Brazil captured 16 consecutive gold medals.
