Luol Deng to perform draw for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments 2024

    The highly anticipated Draw will take place at the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball in Mies, Switzerland on Monday November 27 at 19:00 CET.

    MIES (Switzerland) - Excitement levels for the 24 nations on the Road to the Olympic Games are set to soar with the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments 2024 Draw later this month.

    The highly anticipated Draw will take place at the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball in Mies, Switzerland on Monday November 27 at 19:00 CET.

    Current South Sudan Basketball Federation President, Luol Deng will be in attendance to perform the Draw. The Great Britain national team legend and two time NBA-All-Star had the joy to see South Sudan qualify directly for the Olympic Games at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 this summer.

    This will be preceded earlier on the day by an announcement of the hosts of the four FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments 2024, as well as the Draw Principles. These details will be confirmed following the meeting of the FIBA Executive Committee.

    The Draw will distribute the 24 qualified teams to one of the four FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments. Each of the four host nations will be allocated automatically to the respective Tournament they are organizing.

    Fans will be able to follow the Draw live on the FIBA YouTube Channel.

    A total of 19 nations qualified via the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 and these are as follows:

    Angola Brazil Cote d'Ivoire Dominican Republic Egypt Finland Georgia Greece Italy Latvia Lebanon Lithuania Mexico Montenegro New Zealand Philippines Puerto Rico Slovenia Spain

    A further five nations line up in the Draw after they each won their respective 2023 FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournaments which were held during August 2023 and these are as follows: Bahamas Bahrain Cameroon Croatia Poland
