The rise and fall of some nations comes following an eventful international window.

MUNICH (Germany) - Some European national teams have made positive trajectory in the latest update of the FIBA World Ranking Men, presented by Nike.

Montenegro moved into the top 16 by leapfrogging fellow European side Poland, as they claimed two important wins over Bulgaria in the November window of the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers.

Meanwhile, the biggest climbers from Europe were Ireland as they jumped up three spots to 87th off the back of a perfect window in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European Pre-Qualifiers.

Israel secured their place at FIBA EuroBasket 2025 with back-to-back victories over Ukraine, and that was also enough to see them move up two places to inside the world's top 40, at #39.

There was also small rises for Estonia (43rd), Sweden (48th) and Great Britain (49th) as they were rewarded for pulling off upsets over top-20 opposition.

Azerbaijan suffered the biggest fall in Europe of 12 places to 116th after two losses in the Pre-Qualifiers. Also dropping at least five places were Luxembourg (82nd) and Albania (99th).
