    Ticketing
    Terms & Conditions

Purpose and applicability of these Ticketing Terms & Conditions

These Ticket Terms & Conditions (“Conditions”) govern all Tickets purchased by the Ticket Purchaser and/or otherwise issued or possessed for the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qatar 2027 scheduled to be held in Doha in 2027 (“FBWC2027” or the “Competition”) and the subsequent admission of the Ticket Holder to the Venue to attend a Game.

All Tickets are issued by or on behalf of FIBA (company number CHE-109.809.072) whose registered office is at Chemin de la FIBA 1, 1295 Mies, Switzerland and FIBA Basketball World Cup Qatar 2027 Local Organizing Committee, whose registered address at Qatar Olympic Committee Tower in Westbay Area, P.O. Box 7494, Doha – Qatar (the “LOC”).

A Ticket may only be used by a person who purchases or otherwise receives the Ticket (“Ticket Purchaser”) directly from FIBA/LOC, or any third party authorised by FIBA/LOC to sell Tickets, and those associated individuals to whom a Ticket Purchaser is expressly authorised by FIBA/LOC to distribute their Tickets, such as invited guests. These Conditions also apply to any person that benefits, in any way whatsoever, from a Ticket brought by the Ticket Purchaser. “Ticket Holder” shall mean each Ticket Purchaser and each individual to whom the Ticket Purchaser validly distributes their Tickets.

By accepting, purchasing or using a Ticket, a Ticket Holder unconditionally and irrevocably agrees to be legally bound by and comply with these Conditions at all times. Each Ticket Purchaser shall ensure that each Ticket Holder for whom they purchase or otherwise provide a Ticket is made aware of, agrees, and complies at all times with these Conditions. Each Ticket shall remain at all times the property of FIBA/LOC. Notwithstanding that Tickets may only be used by a Ticket Holder, any other individual who accepts, possesses or uses a Ticket is also subject to and bound by all restrictions applicable to Ticket Holders set out under these Conditions.

Tickets obtained from any source that is not expressly authorised by FIBA/LOC are not valid and will not be accepted. Authorised ticket sources will be listed by FIBA/LOC from time to time on tickets.worldcup.basketball (“Ticketing Website”). Any individual attempting to use a Ticket is responsible for ensuring the Ticket is valid and may be required, upon request, to verify that they have obtained the Ticket through an authorised source. If an individual attempting to use a Ticket fails to verify to the satisfaction of FIBA/LOC that they have obtained their Ticket through an authorised source, they may be refused entry to a Venue (or may be removed from a Venue) and may have their Ticket cancelled without notice.

Each Ticket Holder is also legally bound by and shall comply with FIBA’s rules governing Venue safety, security and conduct (“Venue Code of Conduct”) when attending a Game, the terms of which shall be deemed incorporated herein. The Venue Code of Conduct will include a list of prohibited behaviours and items that a Ticket Holder may not bring into a Venue and will be made available on the Ticketing Website prior to the start of the Competition. Under the Venue Code of Conduct, each Ticket Holder will be required to follow all applicable laws, regulations, orders and instructions given by FIBA/LOC, Venue security and local authorities whilst inside the Venue.

These Conditions and the Venue Code of Conduct may be modified or revised by FIBA or FIBA/LOC at any time, without notice, by providing an updated version of the Conditions or the Venue Code of Conduct on the Ticketing Website. Ticket Holders should visit the Ticketing Website periodically to review the latest versions of the Conditions and the Venue Code of Conduct. For the avoidance of doubt, unless required by applicable law or by a competent authority, the version of the Conditions and/or applicable Terms of Sale that applies to the purchase of a Ticket shall be the version accepted by the Ticket Purchaser on the date on which the relevant Ticket is purchased. Any subsequent amendments shall apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

These Conditions govern the use of Tickets. The purchase (or complimentary receipt) of Tickets is governed by separate terms and conditions, which may differ depending on the category of purchaser (e.g. group sales customer or general public customer) or the type of product being purchased (e.g. hospitality package or individual Ticket) (“Terms of Sale”).

Any individual who has been banned at any time from attending basketball Games in any location by law enforcement, sport’s governing bodies, Venue operators or basketball Game organisers, or any individual deemed a safety or security risk by law enforcement or any other relevant authorities (including, without limitation, private security at a Venue), may be refused entry to a Venue (or may be removed from a Venue) and may have their Ticket cancelled without notice.

Ticket holders are not entitled to any refunds or other forms of compensation for cancelled tickets or under any other circumstances under these Conditions. Clause 23 of these Conditions contains additional information regarding refunds.

Any Ticket Holder information provided to FIBA/LOC in connection with the receipt or use of a Ticket is covered by FIBA’s Data Protection Policy, available on the Ticketing Website.

These Conditions create a legally binding relationship and contract between the Ticket Purchaser and/or Ticket Holder, and FIBA/LOC. Any queries or questions that a Ticket Purchaser or Ticket Holder may have regarding these Conditions should be submitted to FIBA/LOC before purchasing a Ticket (by a Ticket Purchaser) and prior to use of a Ticket (by a Ticket Holder). Queries can be submitted via the Ticket Website or to the FBWC2027 Customer Service Team by email at the following address: support@qoc.qa.

    Nature and Use of Tickets

Each Ticket represents a personal, revocable license for one person to enter a Competition Venue (“Venue”) and occupy a seat to attend the game specified on the Ticket (the “Game”) during the hours designated by FIBA, subject at all times to these Conditions.

To enter a Venue for a Game, a Ticket Holder must present a valid Ticket, in a form authorised and distributed by FIBA/LOC, at the designated Venue access point(s). FIBA/LOC has the right to determine, at its sole discretion, what form of Ticket is required to enter a Venue (e.g. paper ticket, print-at-home ticket, mobile ticket, etc.). Certain distribution methods, such as mobile ticket distribution, may require a Ticket Holder to possess a compatible and fully functional mobile device and download a software application to access and use a Ticket. The use of such software application may require the Ticket Holder to accept separate terms of use applicable to the application.

Every person wishing to attend a Game needs their own Ticket, irrespective of their age. Persons under the age of fifteen (15) years must be accompanied by an adult at all times whilst in the Venue and its surrounding areas. Parents or legal guardians of any minor under the age of eighteen (18) years using a Ticket are responsible for the conduct of the minor at all times.

Depending on the category of Ticket Purchaser by whom Tickets are purchased, certain Tickets may be personalised to a Ticket Holder, for example by their first and last name. Each Ticket Purchaser is responsible for ensuring Tickets are accurately personalised for each applicable Ticket Holder. A Ticket Holder must be able to demonstrate, to the satisfaction of FIBA or Venue security, that they are validly entitled to use the respective Ticket, for example by verifying their identity. Acceptable forms of identification will be described from time to time on the Ticketing Website. If the Ticket Holder is not able to demonstrate their entitlement to use a Ticket, they may be refused entry to the Venue (or removed from the Venue) and the Ticket may be cancelled without notice.

The competing teams, seat location, Game date, Game tip-off time, Game duration and Venue associated with any Ticket may be changed by FIBA at any time. Changes to the location of a seat are also subject to Clause 11 of these Conditions and changes to the date or Venue of a Game are also subject to Clause 14 of these Conditions.

Ticket Holders are responsible for arranging, at their own cost, transportation to and from the Venue as well as any accommodation that they may require. Ticket Holders acknowledge that transportation between Venues is subject to delays and that it may be difficult or impossible for a Ticket Holder to attend multiple Games held at different Venues on the same day.

Each Ticket Holder is responsible, at their own cost, for arranging and securing their own travel and entry into and out of the State of Qatar. A Ticket Holder may be required to apply for and obtain a visa or other forms of permission from the State of Qatar or other governmental authorities to travel to Qatar. A Ticket Holder may be required to adhere to prescribed medical measures prior to travel, and upon arrival in, the State of Qatar (see also Clause 22.2). If a Ticket Holder fails to obtain the requisite permissions from the State of Qatar or other governmental authorities or is refused entry to the State of Qatar , the Ticket Holder is not entitled to any form of compensation from FIBA/LOC or any of the Released Parties.

A Ticket Holder permitted to enter the State of Qatar may also be required to obtain (and present upon entry to a Venue) a fan identification device (“Fan ID”) issued by the State of Qatar or other governmental authority in order to attend any Game. Neither FIBA nor FIBA/LOC is responsible for the issuance of Fan IDs. Without prejudice to the foregoing, FIBA/LOC may from time to time provide information to Ticket Purchasers via email or the Ticketing Website on how Ticket Holders can apply for a Fan ID. Each Ticket Purchaser shall be responsible for notifying any associated Ticket Holders of the obligation and process by which they can obtain a Fan ID. Any failure to obtain a Fan ID in sufficient time to attend a Game, will not entitle a Ticket Holder to a Ticket refund or any form of compensation.

Ticket Holders must maintain possession of their Tickets (and, if applicable, their Fan ID as described in Clause 3.8) at all times whilst in the Venue. Ticket Holders who leave the Venue after entry will not be permitted to re-enter the Venue except in exceptional circumstances as determined by FIBA in its sole discretion.

A Ticket does not permit a Ticket Holder to park a vehicle at a Venue.

    Purchase and Distribution of Tickets

Ticket Purchasers must be aged eighteen (18) years or above.

The purchase of Tickets by certain categories of Ticket Purchasers may be covered by special terms and conditions that depart from, are more detailed than or complement the provisions of this section “Purchase and Distribution of Tickets”.

Tickets will be available for purchase on the Ticket Website during such periods as confirmed by FIBA/LOC from time to time. FIBA/LOC may, at their sole discretion, change, vary, stop, suspend or extend the duration for which Tickets are available for purchase at any point in time, by any means, on any platform or channel and via any intermediary whatsoever.

FIBA/LOC shall be entitled to make decisions at their sole discretion regarding the distribution channels and platforms of the Tickets and shall be entitled to implement or offer different or special terms of sale, including in relation to sales of individual Tickets and group Tickets, distribution of Tickets on a priority and/or presale basis, in relation to the use and implementation (or not) of a resale platform for Ticket purchases and for those who wish to place orders for one or more Tickets to specific Games. All applicable information regarding the distribution of Tickets shall be available on the Ticket Website.

FIBA/LOC may implement, in their sole discretion, waiting lists, registration groups, ballots, lotteries or other allocation mechanisms for the purchase of Tickets for certain Games, Ticket categories or sales phases. Any such mechanism may be subject to separate rules, eligibility criteria, deadlines, payment requirements and verification procedures, which shall be published on the Ticketing Website and shall form part of the applicable Conditions.

Software or applications that place automated orders for Tickets via the internet and/or that can replicate the online purchasing activity of a group or several persons, such as “Bots” or other software or applications that can be used to order and purchase Tickets, are strictly prohibited. If it appears that any Tickets have been purchased or obtained in this way, these Tickets will be considered as invalid and cancelled and the Ticket Holder of such a Ticket will be denied access to the Venue, without being entitled to any refund or compensation.

Ticket Purchasers are hereby informed about the existence of various categories or types of seats in the Venue, such as for people with a disability or for group purchases, which may be purchased subject to availability and which may be subject to additional or ancillary terms and conditions that will be made available via the FBWC2027 Website, the Ticket Website or via such other platform or channel as notified by FIBA/LOC from time to time.

    Payments and Payment Methods

The sole authorised method of payment for a Ticket is by payment cards (VISA, Mastercard, and American Express) and QPay, unless otherwise agreed by FIBA/LOC or by any official hospitality or travel partners or agents authorised to sell Tickets by FIBA/LOC.

Unless a) notified by FIBA/LOC or an official hospitality or travel partner or b) payment options are made available by FIBA/LOC, the Ticket Purchaser must pay for their order of Tickets in full immediately at the time and point of purchasing their Tickets. The Ticket Purchaser will receive an order confirmation email directly to the email they have provided only once their Ticket order has been successfully paid for and processed.

Any payment delays, bank issues, technology or website errors or issues resulting in failure or default (including an authorisation failure based on the information requested from a Ticket Purchaser during the purchase journey) to pay in full will automatically result in the cancellation of the proposed order for Tickets and in such case, the Tickets concerned will be made available to other purchasers and any sums already paid (if any) will be reimbursed.

FIBA/LOC may place a limit on the number of Tickets that may be offered or purchased for: the FBWC2027, each game, each ticket price, each ticket type and/or whether in a single transaction or a series of transactions, per person, per email address, per payment card and/or per household. FIBA/LOC reserve the right to cancel, without refund or compensation, any type, number, kind or price of Tickets purchased in excess of the stated limit.

Once the Ticket Purchaser has completed an order for Tickets and successfully processed payment in relation to that order, the Ticket Purchaser will receive an order confirmation directly by email and no further changes can be made to that order. No order or purchase of Tickets shall be complete, successful and/or confirmed until payment has been fully and successfully processed and the Ticket Purchaser has received a formal confirmation email confirming that the purchase has been successful. If, for any reason whatsoever, an order is not completed or payment is not processed in full or no confirmation email is received by the individual purchasing the Ticket, the individual(s) shall have no entitlement or right of any kind to the applicable Tickets.

    Ticket Prices

Ticket prices and any applicable service charges, processing fees, delivery/fulfilment fees, taxes and/or other charges will be displayed in Qatari rials (QAR). Any costs or charges (including exchange rate costs and payment card charges) applicable to payments by a Ticket Purchaser via another currency shall be borne by and shall be the sole responsibility of the Ticket Purchaser.

Any applicable offers, discounts and/or promotions may not be used in conjunction with any other offers, discounts or promotions and may not be redeemed or used retrospectively for Tickets already purchased. Additional terms and conditions may apply to any offers, discounts and/or promotions.

Tickets will be charged at the prices that are in force at the time of purchasing a Ticket. FIBA/LOC shall be entitled, at their sole discretion, to modify Ticket prices and pricing policy at any time, including in relation to the charging of service charges, processing fees, delivery/fulfilment fees and other charges or fees.

Where a Ticket is cancelled, voided or deemed invalid for any reason whatsoever, any charitable donations made in connection with the purchase of such Ticket shall not be reimbursed or refunded. Once a charitable donation has been paid by a Ticket Purchaser in connection with the purchase of any Ticket, the donation shall be strictly non-refundable.

If, due to human error or technical malfunction on the part of FIBA/LOC or the Ticket Website, incorrect Ticket prices or Ticket details are displayed on the Ticket Website and any such Ticket(s) is purchased by a Ticket Purchaser on the basis of such incorrect amount or details or if a Ticket Purchaser has purchased a type or category of Ticket which is not intended to be purchased by or available to such Ticket Purchaser, FIBA/LOC reserve the right to cancel the relevant Ticket(s) and process a refund to the Ticket Purchaser for the amount of the face-value Ticket price only. In such circumstances, no refund shall be provided in relation to any charitable donation paid in connection with the Ticket(s) purchase. The Ticket Purchaser may, at FIBA/LOC’s sole discretion, be provided with an opportunity to purchase Tickets in accordance with the correct Ticket price and/or details.

If, due to human error or technical malfunction or failure on the part of an individual or Ticket Purchaser results in the purchase of Tickets in error, such Tickets shall be non-refundable and, subject to applicable law, FIBA/LOC shall have no obligation to refund, reimburse, cancel or replace the relevant purchase or Tickets.

From time to time, FIBA/LOC may change, increase or decrease Ticket prices at their sole discretion (e.g. marketing promotions, specific sales phases, etc). Please note that a Ticket Purchaser shall not be entitled to any refund, credit or compensation if (i) the price you paid for a Ticket was at any time before you purchased your Ticket less than the price you ultimately paid; or (ii) the price of any other Ticket to the same or similar Game(es) (whether in the same location or at the same Ticket price or otherwise) is subsequently reduced after you have purchased your Ticket(s).

    Ticket Delivery and Distribution

Once Tickets have been paid for in full and the Ticket Purchaser has received the order confirmation email, the Ticket Purchaser will subsequently be notified when the purchased Tickets are available and the method by which the Tickets can be accessed and/or received by the Ticket Purchaser.

Tickets will be delivered primarily in the form of an electronic ticket. Ticket Holders must download the relevant FBWC2027 and/or Ticket app (as notified by FIBA/LOC) and create an account within the app in order to access and use your Tickets.

In the case of electronic tickets, the Ticket Holder must carry a functional mobile terminal (such as a smartphone) that enables the reading of the bar code/QR code (or similar technology) of the Ticket on its screen. FIBA/LOC disclaim liability in case of loss or theft of the mobile terminal on which the Ticket is stored, or in case of a malfunction of the mobile terminal (due for instance to an uncharged battery, not being able to display or retrieve the Ticket, a breakdown of technical failure of the mobile terminal, not being able to connect to the Internet, etc). Ticket Holders can make contact with the FBWC2027 Customer Service Team at each Venue to seek assistance if necessary, however, there is no guarantee that the FBWC2027 Customer Service Team will be able to resolve any or all queries or issues that may arise.

FIBA/LOC are entitled to cancel, without notice and without any refund, any purchase of a Ticket that might involve a risk or evidence of fraud, such as in case of fraudulent use of a payment card, or in case of a breach or potential breach of any security mechanisms or protocols related or relevant to the FBWC2027 or the Game.

The issuing, sale and purchase of any Ticket shall be final and non-refundable except as outlined in these Conditions.

The Ticket Purchaser agrees to ensure that any Ticket Holder for whom the Ticket Purchaser has purchased a Ticket shall comply fully with these Conditions, the Venue Code of Conduct and any other rules, terms or conditions applicable to the Tickets and undertakes to disclose to any such Ticket Holders the texts of these provisions, or the web links giving access to all such applicable rules, terms and/or conditions.

FIBA/LOC shall use all reasonable efforts to ensure that Tickets purchased within the same order transaction and for the same Game will be seated together (subject always to availability) but FIBA/LOC shall not be responsible, if for any reason, seats are not located directly side by side. Tickets purchased under different or separate order transactions will not be seated together. Ticket Purchasers will not be able to select specific seats during certain sales phases and will be allocated seats according to number and price of Tickets purchased. Unless otherwise made available by FIBA/LOC as a paid service or product, seat moves will not be possible once seats are allocated.

Use of Tickets and Resale Restrictions

Each Ticket will only be valid for the Game and times stated on the Ticket (or Games if the Ticket Purchaser has acquired a Package) or, in case of a rescheduled Game, on the date of the rescheduled Game in accordance with these Conditions.

Tickets are not exchangeable, transferable or refundable, but Tickets may be resold only via the Ticket Website if a resale platform is made available, such decision to be at the sole discretion of FIBA/LOC. If a resale platform is made available, FIBA/LOC will have sole discretion in relation to which Games ticket types and/or Ticket prices will or can be listed for resale on the resale platform and the Ticket prices at which Ticket Purchasers can list Tickets for resale on the resale platform. Tickets purchased in conjunction with any services or products (including hospitality or travel packages, products and services) cannot be resold on the resale platform. There is no guarantee that Ticket(s) listed for resale by a Ticket Purchaser on the resale platform (if made available) will be successfully resold. Where a Ticket(s) is listed by a Ticket Purchaser on the resale platform and the Ticket is not successfully resold, the Ticket shall remain the Ticket of the original Ticket Purchaser who shall not be entitled to any refund, compensation or reimbursement in relation to the Ticket(s). If entry is attempted at the Venue by a Ticket Holder using a Ticket that has been resold to another Ticket Purchaser, the Ticket Holder shall be refused entry and/or removed from the Venue and may also be subject to additional sanctions, including for fraud and/or counterfeiting activities. Details relating to the availability, provision and/or use of any official ticket resale platform, if made available by FIBA/LOC, will be published on the FBWC2027 Website and/or Ticket Website. These Conditions shall also apply to any Tickets resold on the resale platform and/or subsequently purchased.

FIBA/LOC reserve the right to relocate booked and/or purchased seats in the Venue without warning or advance notice. However, FIBA/LOC will make all reasonable efforts to inform Ticket Purchasers of any such changes as soon as possible.

The Ticket Holder must sit in the seat that is specified on the applicable Ticket.

Each Ticket will be registered and electronically delivered to the Ticket Purchaser, and where applicable or required by FIBA/LOC, in the name of the Ticket Purchaser and any Ticket Holders on whose behalf the Ticket Purchaser has purchased the Ticket(s). In order to share Tickets to other Ticket Holders, Ticket Purchasers acknowledge and agree that such other Ticket Holders may also be required to create and maintain a Ticket account and download the relevant Ticket app to receive and use the Tickets. Ticket Purchasers may be required by FIBA/LOC to provide the names and contact details of all Ticket Holders who received or were provided with (or are intending to use) a Ticket by the Ticket Purchaser.

Entry to a Venue will only be authorised upon presentation of a valid Ticket and, upon request, provision of proof of identity (national identity card, proof of age card, official Digital ID, current valid passport or current valid driving license) with valid photograph and signature. In the absence of these credentials, FIBA/LOC or an Authorised Person shall be entitled to deny entry to the Ticket Holder.

Unless otherwise agreed and permitted by FIBA/LOC and/or the Venue, any exit from the Venue in respect of a Game will be final and the Ticket Holder will not be permitted to re-enter the Venue.

Any material breach (or immaterial breach that is not rectified by the entrant following notice of the breach) of any of these Conditions and/or the Venue Code of Conduct or any engagement by any person in criminal activity which relates to a Ticket and/or their attendance at a Venue, may, in addition to any other remedy FIBA/LOC may have, result in refusal of entry, eviction/expulsion or removal from a Venue, cancellation or voiding of a Ticket and the cancellation or voiding of any other Tickets held by the person, any Ticket Holder or purchased by a Ticket Purchaser for the FBWC2027 without refund or compensation of any kind. In addition, FIBA/LOC may impose sanctions including, but not limited to, banning or prohibiting a person or Ticket Holder from purchasing future Tickets, tickets to future FIBA/LOC games or tournaments (including future FIBA Basketball World Cups) or refusing to sell or supply Tickets (or any other tickets to FIBA/LOC games or tournaments) in future to persons found to have breached these Conditions, Venue Code of Conduct or engaged in criminal activity related to Tickets and/or attendance at the Venue. In addition to any refusal of entry, removal, cancellation, ban, legal action or other remedy available under these Conditions, FIBA may commence disciplinary proceedings or take any other measure available under FIBA’s statutes, internal regulations, disciplinary rules and/or other applicable regulations in respect of any Ticket Holder whose conduct breaches these Conditions, the Venue Safety and Behaviour Rules or otherwise affects the integrity, safety, security or reputation of FBWC2027.

Any person who, in the reasonable opinion of FIBA/LOC, Venue security, police or any other authorised person, appears to be intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, behaving in a disorderly, unsafe, offensive or threatening manner, or otherwise posing a risk to safety, security or public order, may be refused entry to, or removed from, the Venue and shall not be entitled to any refund or compensation, subject to applicable law.

All Tickets remain the property of FIBA/LOC. In the event of a breach of any of these Conditions, Tickets shall, upon request of FIBA/LOC, be delivered up to FIBA/LOC or the applicable Authorised Person, as appropriate. Such actions are without prejudice to all other remedies available which may include a fine and/or legal action.

Ticket Holders acknowledge and agree that they shall be obliged, upon request at any time by an Authorised Person, FIBA/LOC or any third party authorised by FIBA/LOC, to give an explanation as to how, from whom and from where their Tickets have been purchased and/or obtained and upon request, provide evidence of such.

Each Ticket Holder is responsible for their Tickets. Tickets shall not be refunded or exchanged in the case of loss, theft, defacing, forging, alteration, damage, destruction or incompletion. Duplicates of Tickets will not be issued.

Prohibition on Ticket Resale or Transfer

As Tickets are only for the use of the Ticket Purchaser or a Ticket Holder, it is strictly forbidden for any individual to sell, transfer or offer to sell, resell or transfer (including on websites, in or in the immediate surroundings of the Venue or within the Venue precincts) any Tickets, in any way or form, whether free of charge or in return for consideration, or in conjunction with any other products or services (including hospitality and travel products and services), without first securing the express approval or written consent and authorisation of FIBA/LOC or on the Ticket Website official resale platform, if established, or as otherwise provided for under these Conditions.

In order to avoid unofficial and unauthorised sales and resales, FIBA/LOC or an entity authorised by FIBA/LOC is entitled to rescind, without notice and without any formalities, any order for Ticket(s) that are subsequently resold or transferred without the express approval or written consent of FIBA/LOC. If this happens, the Ticket(s) order will be cancelled, the Ticket Holder will be denied entry to the Venue, and civil or criminal action may also be taken against them. The price of the Ticket(s) including any applicable fees, charges or any charitable donations made will not be refunded or compensated.

For the avoidance of any doubt, it is an essential condition of the issuance of Tickets and the right of admission to and attendance at the Game and/or conferred on the Ticket Holder that Tickets must not be and have not been:

    offered, provided, resold, or transferred for a value greater than the original sale price;

    advertised, resold or offered for resale or transfer publicly, including on any website (except for any official FIBA/LOC or FBWC2027 resale platform), social media site or other public forum or elsewhere;

    used in relation to any promotional or commercial purposes (including any competitions, advertising, promotion or as a prize in any competition or sweepstake whether for a business or a charity or otherwise) or to enhance the demand for any other goods or services or sold or resold as part of a hospitality or travel package or service;

transferred or otherwise disposed of to any person who agrees to buy any good(s) or service(s) in return for the Ticket; and/or

bundled with any other goods or services (including as part of any hospitality, accommodation or travel package or service), without FIBA/LOC’s prior written consent or authorisation (which shall include any official FIBA/LOC or FBWC2027 resale platform).

WARNING: Any Ticket that is (or FIBA/LOC reasonably believe is intended to be) altered or otherwise fraudulently dealt with, sold or offered, published, marketed and/or advertised for sale or which is transmitted, transferred, distributed, used or disposed of in any way or via any platform, channel or agent other than a platform, channel or agent authorised by FIBA/LOC or purchased, sold or issued in contradiction with these Conditions (including by an unauthorised reseller of tickets) shall be void, invalid and cancelled by FIBA/LOC without the provision of notice and without the Ticket Holder being entitled to any refund or compensation and will result in the Ticket Holder’s admission to a Venue being rejected and/or the removal or eviction of the Ticket Holder from a Venue by FIBA/LOC, the Venue or by any Authorised Person.

The unauthorised (i) sale and/or offer to sell a Ticket, (ii) publication or advertisement of a Ticket for sale and/or (iii) advertising that a Ticket is available to purchase, may be an offence under applicable laws. If FIBA/LOC become aware of or suspects that a Ticket Purchaser or Ticket Holder has committed a ticketing offence, FIBA/LOC may notify relevant law enforcement authorities and action may be taken against offenders.

    Accessibility and Companion Tickets

The issuance and use of Tickets for disabled people and people with limited mobility (“Accessibility Tickets”) is restricted to those who meet FIBA/LOC’s eligibility criteria. As part of the application process for Accessibility Tickets the Ticket Purchaser, either on their own behalf or on behalf of another individual in accordance with the Terms of Sale, is required to submit to FIBA/LOC certain information and/or official documents demonstrating the individual’s eligibility for an Accessibility Ticket (“Proof of Eligibility”). Any holder of an Accessibility Ticket (“Accessibility Ticket Holder”) has been issued an Accessibility Ticket on the basis that they meet FIBA/LOC’s eligibility requirements. If FIBA/LOC determines at any time that the Accessibility Ticket Holder does not meet FIBA/LOC’s eligibility requirements, including as a result of a misrepresentation in the Proof of Eligibility, FIBA/LOC may cancel the Accessibility Ticket without notice.

Certain categories of Accessibility Tickets permit the Accessibility Ticket Holder to be accompanied in the Venue by a companion (“Companion”), who is entitled to a complimentary Ticket in accordance with the Terms of Sale (“Companion Ticket”). The holder of a Companion Ticket is required to enter the Venue with the Accessibility Ticket Holder and accompany the Accessibility Ticket Holder at all times whilst inside the Venue.

In order to enter and remain inside the Venue, an Accessibility Ticket Holder (or Companion on their behalf) must carry and be able to present their Proof of Eligibility upon the request of FIBA or Venue security. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the Accessibility Ticket (and, consequently, any associated Companion Ticket).

Except as set out in this Section 3, Accessibility Tickets are subject to the same terms as other Tickets under these Conditions (including the terms regarding cancellation). If an Accessibility Ticket is cancelled for any reason, any Companion Ticket associated with the cancelled Accessibility Ticket shall automatically be deemed cancelled.

    Seating

Each Ticket will be assigned to a specific seat in the Venue within the seating category to which the Ticket applies (e.g. Category 1, Category 2, etc.) (“Seat Location”). FIBA/LOC or the relevant Venue authorities may determine and change the Seat Location for a given Ticket at any time, including after a Ticket has been purchased and on the date of the Game, provided that the new Seat Location is in the same seating category or a seating category associated with a higher Ticket face value. A Ticket Holder may only sit in the Seat Location assigned to their Ticket unless otherwise instructed by FIBA/LOC or the relevant Venue authorities.

The consumption of alcohol within the Venue by a Ticket Holder is subject to such restrictions as may be determined by FIBA, Venue security and the laws of the State of Qatar. Such restrictions may include, without limitation, limiting the purchase and/or consumption of alcohol to designated times and/or areas within the Venue.

Tickets purchased together may be assigned Seat Locations that are not adjacent to or in close proximity to one another. In addition, Tickets that may at one time be assigned Seat Locations that are adjacent to or in close proximity to one another may have their corresponding Seat Locations changed pursuant to Clause 4.1 above to Seat Locations that are not adjacent to or in close proximity to one another.

FIBA/LOC may at any time reduce the number of Ticket Holders that can attend a Game as a result of safety, security, technical, health or other reasons FIBA/LOC considers appropriate. In such event, FIBA/LOC may determine in its sole discretion which Tickets will be cancelled and will notify the Ticket Purchaser of the cancelled Tickets by email. The Ticket Purchaser is responsible for notifying any associated Ticket Holders that their Tickets have been cancelled.

Views of the field of play may be obstructed from certain seats. FIBA/LOC makes no representations, warranties or guarantees of any kind that the seat location will give a Ticket Holder an uninterrupted or uninhibited view of the game.

    Safeguarding of Tickets

Ticket Holders are responsible for safeguarding their Tickets at all times. FIBA/LOC is not under any obligation to replace lost, stolen, damaged or corrupted Tickets.

A Ticket Holder presenting a damaged, defective or altered Ticket to attend a Game may be refused entry into the Venue.

Where applicable, FIBA/LOC shall provide instructions on using and safeguarding print-at-home Tickets and mobile Tickets on the Ticketing Website, which must be followed at all times.

Ticket Holders acknowledge that the attempted duplication of a Ticket may result in the Ticket Holder being refused entry to (or being removed from) the Venue and the Ticket being cancelled without notice.

    Cancellation of Tickets

Without limiting any other circumstances under which Tickets may be cancelled as set out in these Conditions, a Ticket may be cancelled without notice to the Ticket Holder if:

the Ticket Holder fails to comply with or otherwise violates any of these Conditions (including the Venue Code of Conduct); or

the Ticket Purchaser who purchased or received the Ticket violates the Terms of Sale or Conditions.

If a Ticket is cancelled, the license to enter and remain in the Venue associated with the Ticket is immediately and automatically revoked.

Cancellation, Rescheduling, Relocation and Replay of Games

Cancellation. A Game is cancelled if FIBA/LOC determine that a Game will not be played as originally scheduled and FIBA/LOC have no intention at the time of cancellation of rescheduling the Game. FIBA/LOC have the right to cancel a Game at any time for any reason, including due to events beyond FIBA/LOC’s reasonable control. Upon cancellation of a Game, all Tickets for such Game shall automatically be cancelled. FIBA/LOC will notify the Ticket Purchaser by email that a Game has been cancelled. FIBA/LOC have the right to reschedule a Game at any time for any reason, including due to events beyond FIBA/LOC’s reasonable control. If a Game is rescheduled, FIBA/LOC may determine at its sole discretion and on a Ticket-by-Ticket basis whether a Ticket for the originally scheduled Game will remain valid for the rescheduled Game, whether a new Ticket will be issued to the Ticket Purchaser for the rescheduled Game, or whether a Ticket for the originally scheduled Game will be cancelled. FIBA/LOC will notify the Ticket Purchaser by email that a Game has been rescheduled and whether some or all of the Tickets purchased or otherwise received by the Ticket Purchaser have been cancelled. The Ticket Purchaser is responsible for notifying any associated Ticket Holders that the Game has been rescheduled.

FIBA/LOC have the right to relocate a Game at any time for any reason, including due to events beyond FIBA/LOC’s reasonable control. If a Game is relocated, FIBA/LOC may determine at its sole discretion and on a Ticket-by-Ticket basis whether a Ticket for the originally located Game will remain valid for the relocated Game, whether a new Ticket will be issued to the Ticket Purchaser for the relocated Game, or whether a Ticket for the originally located Game will be cancelled. FIBA/LOC will notify the Ticket Purchaser by email that a Game has been relocated and whether some or all of the Tickets purchased or otherwise received by the Ticket Purchaser have been cancelled. The Ticket Purchaser is responsible for notifying any associated Ticket Holders that the Game has been relocated.

Replay. A Game is replayed if FIBA/LOC decide to replay a completed or partially-completed Game. FIBA/LOC have the right to replay a completed or partially-completed Game at any time for any reason, including due to events beyond FIBA/LOC’s reasonable control, without any notification. A replayed Game is considered a new Game and Tickets issued for the original Game are not valid for the replayed Game.

Subject always to the provisions of the applicable law and the applicable Conditions:

In the event any Game is permanently cancelled, held behind closed doors, with reduced capacity, or relocated, and FIBA and/or the LOC determine that the relevant Ticket cannot remain valid for use and cannot be replaced by a Ticket in the same or a higher category, the original Ticket Purchaser shall be entitled to a full refund of the total Ticket value paid for the affected Ticket.

FIBA and/or the LOC shall notify Ticket Purchasers of the applicable refund procedures, the designated deadline for submitting requests, and any data or documents required to complete the refund process, via email and/or through the designated Ticketing Website.

For the purposes of these Conditions, an ‘event beyond reasonable control’ includes any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of FIBA/LOC affecting the organisation, staging, safety, security, attendance capacity or operation of FBWC2027 or any Game, including acts of God, fire, flood, extreme weather, epidemic, pandemic or public health emergency, terrorism or threat thereof, civil unrest, war, national mourning, industrial action, failure of utilities or transport, decisions, orders or restrictions imposed by any governmental, administrative, judicial, sporting, police, health or venue authority, and any other circumstance that FIBA/LOC reasonably determine affects the safe, secure or orderly staging of a Game.

Any photographs taken or other recordings of sounds or images made by a Ticket Holder in or around a Venue may be used only for private and personal, non-commercial and non-promotional purposes. Apart from private and personal, non-commercial and non-promotional purposes (i.e. to the exclusion of any commercial purposes), the Ticket Holder shall not publish or broadcast at any time, over the Internet, on radio, on television and/or on any other form or type of media, whether current or future, any sound, image, description, commentary, news reports or results and/or statistics of a Game (whether wholly or partly), including any content of this kind created, recorded or captured as a still or moving image by mobile phones or by any other form of wireless and/or portable device or terminal, nor aid or abet any other person in engaging in such activities. FIBA’s Commercial and Intellectual Property Rights

Each Ticket Holder acknowledges that FIBA is the sole and exclusive owner of the Competition and of all commercial and intellectual property rights relating thereto, including all copyright, trademarks, trade names, trade dress, symbols, logos and emblems. Each Ticket Holder further acknowledges that, other than as may be permitted by existing laws on fair use, the Ticket Holder has no right to use, display or exploit FIBA’s commercial and intellectual property rights without FIBA’s prior written approval.

Ticket Purchasers and Ticket Holders are strictly prohibited from conducting any activities regarding the Competition, before or after the Competition, or in or around the Venue, on behalf of themselves or any third parties which, in FIBA’s opinion, may directly or indirectly create a commercial association between the Ticket Holder or a third party and FIBA, the FBWC2027 (or any part of it) or its commercial affiliates without the authorisation of FIBA, whether by way of an unauthorised use of logos or otherwise (“Ambush Marketing”). Ambush Marketing includes, without limitation, marketing, sales, product or sample distribution as well as any promotional or advertising activities of any kind, including wearing, possessing or holding promotional or commercial items without the authorisation of FIBA. Such items may be confiscated by FIBA or Venue authorities without compensation to the Ticket Holder.

Ticket Holders are strictly prohibited from conducting, or assisting others in conducting, from within the Venue any form of live transmission, broadcast, streaming or other live dissemination of any audio, still or moving images, or statistics or data relating to any Game or Competition-related event.

    Event Content and Licence

Any photographs, sounds, videos, other audio, visual or audio-visual material, accounts or descriptions of any Game (such as text, data or imagery) or any other content relating to the Competition which is captured or produced by a Ticket Holder whilst attending the Venue (“Event Content”) may only be captured or produced with equipment that is permitted to be brought into the Venue under the Venue Code of Conduct and must only be used for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Each Ticket Holder hereby grants to FIBA a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use and exploit their Event Content (including all copyright, database rights and any other intellectual property rights relating thereto) for any purpose whatsoever. The license granted to FIBA herein shall be exclusive, save in respect of any Event Content used solely by the Ticket Holder for personal, non-commercial purposes, in which case the license shall be non-exclusive.

Examples of personal, non-commercial purposes may include posting non-live Event Content on the Ticket Holder’s personal webpage or social media account, or sharing such Event Content (by means of physical or electronic media) with the Ticket Holder’s close friends and family. Personal, non-commercial purposes never include any live dissemination of Event Content prohibited under Clause 18.3 above, using Event Content to promote, sponsor, endorse or sell products or services, or posting or displaying Event Content on any form of physical or electronic media which purports to be affiliated to, associated with or sponsored by FIBA or the FBWC2027. FIBA reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to determine whether any use of Event Content represents a violation of these Conditions.

Each Ticket Holder acknowledges that FIBA, at its sole discretion, has the right but not the obligation to enforce its rights in relation to any Event Content.

It is forbidden to use any Ticket as a means of promotional and/or commercial activities, such as (i) as a prize in any competition, charity sale, auction, competition, game, lottery, simulation exercises and any similar activities, and/or (ii) as an element of a sale linked to the provision of any services or the sale of any goods by the Ticket Purchaser, Ticket Holder or any third party, without first securing the express written approval of FIBA/LOC. FIBA/LOC are entitled to bring any civil or criminal action that it shall see fit in case of a violation of these provisions.

    Video Surveillance and CCTV

The Ticket Holder acknowledges and agrees that, for their safety and security, the Venue is equipped with a CCTV system that will be monitored at all times by the Venue and may from time to time also be monitored by the Police and that the images of Ticket Holders may be used in case of legal action or prosecution where required. Individuals who appear within images captured or recorded by the CCTV system (otherwise known as a data subject) have a right to access the recordings throughout the timescale of retention of the images in accordance with applicable laws, as well as any third party policies governing use of the CCTV system, including those that may apply to the Venue. This right may be exercised by writing to the operations manager of the applicable Venue.

    Sports Betting

In order to circumvent the risk of fraud in sports and unless otherwise officially and expressly authorised by FIBA/LOC, it is forbidden to bet in any way whatsoever (electronically or otherwise) around or within the precincts of the Venue, on any elements, results or events linked to the Game or the FBWC2027, or to use any means of communication (electronic or otherwise) to gather sports-related data intended for betting purposes. In the event of a violation of this prohibition, all requisite measures will be taken, ranging up to expulsion of the person(s) involved from the Venue.

Infectious Disease Safety Precautions & Protocols

In order to attempt to reduce the spread of or the risk of contracting certain infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, FIBA/LOC may adopt rules and protocols that a Ticket Holder must agree to abide by in order to attend a Game. FIBA/LOC will notify Ticket Purchasers by email of any such rules and protocols. Each Ticket Purchaser shall be responsible for notifying any associated Ticket Holders of such rules and protocols. Due to the evolving understanding about appropriate and effective methods to reduce the risk of spreading or contracting certain infectious diseases, including COVID-19, such rules and protocols may only be provided to Ticket Holders shortly before a Game and may be subject to change.

Ticket Holders may also be required to adhere to health and safety rules and protocols imposed by local authorities of the State of Qatar aimed at reducing the spread of or the risk of contracting certain infectious diseases, such as COVID-19. Such rules and protocols may include a Ticket Holder being required to demonstrate prior to and/or upon arrival in the State of Qatar, to the satisfaction of such local authorities and in accordance with applicable law (i) a sufficient status of vaccination against any such infectious disease, (ii) a test result indicating that the Ticket Holder is negative for the presence of any such infectious disease, tested and recorded in accordance with local authority requirements, and (iii) that they meet any other health and safety requirement(s) imposed by any local authority of the State of Qatar. Ticket Holders are solely responsible for ensuring that they are aware of, and adhere to, all such rules and protocols.

Tickets Holders will not be entitled to any refunds or other form of compensation if they are unable or unwilling to abide by any such rules and protocols imposed by FIBA/LOC or any local authority of the State of Qatar.

Assumption of Risk; Waiver and Release of Liability

Each Ticket Holder acknowledges and voluntarily assumes all risks related to attending a Game at a Venue and partaking in any events and activities in and around the Venue, including the risk of personal injury (including temporary or permanent disability or death), the risk of exposure to communicable diseases, viruses, bacteria or illnesses or the causes thereof, sickness, lost, stolen or damaged property, loud music, flashing lights and fireworks, temperature and weather conditions, offensive, vulgar or obscene language or materials, the actions or inactions (including negligent actions or inactions) of other persons within and around the Venue. To the maximum extent permitted under the applicable law, each Ticket Holder hereby waives all claims relating to such risks.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present, including Venue Property. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness, temporary and permanent disability, and death. Pre-existing risk factors such as underlying medical conditions and advanced age may make certain individuals particularly vulnerable. By entering Venue Property, a Ticket Holder voluntarily assumes all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

To the maximum extent permitted under the applicable law, each Ticket Holder fully, irrevocably and unconditionally releases FIBA/LOC and all of their affiliated entities, the owner and operator of any Venue, and the officers, directors, members, shareholders, employees, elected and appointed officials of each of the foregoing entities (“Released Parties”) from any and all claims that the Ticket Holder may have against any of the Released Parties that relate to any of the risks described in Clauses 23.1 and 23.2 above, whether caused by any action, inaction or the active or passive negligence of any Released Party or otherwise.

Each Ticket Holder consents to receiving medical treatment that may be deemed advisable or necessary in the event of an injury, accident or illness suffered by the Ticket Holder whilst attending a Game, and fully releases FIBA/LOC (and its designees), the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy and the Ministry of Public Health of the State of Qatar from any and all liability resulting from taking such action.

    Data Protection Law

FIBA/LOC will process personal data provided or generated in connection with the purchase, issue, transfer, possession and use of Tickets, including Ticket Purchaser and Ticket Holder identification details, contact details, payment-related information, accessibility eligibility documents, Fan ID-related information where applicable, access-control data and customer-service communications, for the purposes of organising, managing, securing and administering FBWC2027, operating the ticketing programme, communicating with Ticket Purchasers and Ticket Holders, preventing fraud and unauthorised resale, ensuring venue safety and security, complying with legal obligations and, where permitted, providing information about FIBA events and fan engagement activities. Such processing shall be carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including, where applicable, the GDPR and applicable laws of the State of Qatar. Ticket Purchasers and Ticket Holders may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and other rights under applicable law. Further information, including the applicable legal bases, retention periods, recipients of data and contact details for exercising rights, is available in FIBA’s applicable privacy policy available on the Ticketing Website.

Amendments, Severability, Waivers, Applicable Law and Settlement of Disputes

These Conditions do not entitle any Ticket Holders to any refunds or any other form of compensation under any circumstances. In the event that a Ticket is cancelled pursuant to these Conditions, the only person or entity that may be entitled to a refund is the original Ticket Purchaser of the cancelled Ticket, and only if and to the extent the Ticket Purchaser is entitled to a refund under the applicable Terms of Sale governing the purchase of the cancelled Tickets. No other Ticket Holder is entitled to a refund or any other compensation, under any circumstances, including (without limitation) in connection with the use, attempted use or cancellation of a Ticket or the rescheduling, relocation, postponement or replay of a Game.

To the maximum extent permitted under the applicable law, in no event shall any Released Parties be liable for any special, consequential, incidental, indirect or punitive damages of any kind. Without limiting any other provisions of these Conditions, including (without limitation) Clause 24.1, to the maximum extent permitted under the applicable law, the maximum liability of any Released Party to a Ticket Holder shall not exceed the face value of the Ticket.

Each Ticket Holder shall be fully liable for any acts or omissions in violation of these Conditions or the Venue Code of Conduct. Each Ticket Holder fully indemnifies and holds harmless the Released Parties for any loss suffered by them resulting therefrom.

FIBA/LOC reserve the right to make amendments or changes to these Conditions from time to time and shall notify the Ticket Purchaser and Ticket Holder of any such changes if they materially affect the Ticket Purchaser and/or Ticket Holder’s rights by issuing a statement via the FBWC2027 Website and/or the Ticket Website. For the avoidance of doubt, changes may also be made, without limitation, to any applicable Venue Code of Conduct, depicting the conditions of entry.

In the event that any provision(s) of these Conditions are declared void, ineffective or unenforceable by any competent court, the remainder of these Conditions will remain in effect as if such void, ineffective or unenforceable provision(s) had not been included.

The failure by FIBA/LOC to exercise or delay in exercising a right or remedy provided by these Conditions does not constitute a waiver of the right or remedy or a waiver of other rights or remedies. A waiver of a breach of any of the terms of these Conditions or of a default under these Conditions does not constitute a waiver of any other breach or default and shall not affect the other terms of these Conditions.

These Conditions will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar in which the Game applicable to the Ticket is located. All disputes arising from or related to these Conditions (including but not limited to any non-contractual disputes or claims) will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdictions of the courts of Qatar. Nevertheless, FIBA/LOC reserve the unilateral right to pursue any legal proceeding in the competent courts at the defendant's domicile.

    Claims

Any claim, complaint or query relating to billing, payment, Ticket delivery, Ticket cancellation, refund eligibility or any other ticketing matter must be submitted by the Ticket Purchaser to the FBWC2027 Customer Service Team in writing, including by email or through the Ticketing Website, as soon as reasonably possible and in any event within forty-five (45) working days following the scheduled date of the final Game of FBWC2027, unless a longer period is required by applicable law or specified in the applicable Conditions.

    Miscellaneous

FIBA/LOC and their respective affiliated entities may enforce these Conditions, including the right to cancel Tickets under these Conditions.

Although these Conditions have been distributed in multiple languages, the English version shall control in the event of any dispute or in the event of any conflict or ambiguity between the different versions.

Certain provisions of these Conditions may be restated in a condensed version on a Ticket. In the event of any ambiguity or inconsistency between the condensed version and the full-form version of the Conditions set out herein, the full-form version shall always govern.

If any portion of these Conditions is held invalid, illegal or unenforceable by a competent court, the invalid, illegal or unenforceable terms shall be severed from these Conditions and the remainder of these Conditions shall remain in effect.

Places of Jurisdiction and Governing Laws

These Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection therewith (each, a “Dispute”) shall be, subject to Clause 26.2 below, governed by and construed in accordance with Qatari law.

FIBA/LOC and the Ticket Holder each acknowledge that, to the extent that a Ticket Holder is acting as a Consumer (as defined below), certain mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which that Consumer is resident may apply (the “Mandatory Provisions”). To the extent that any Mandatory Provisions do apply by virtue of applicable law, then the Consumer shall be entitled to rely on and benefit from those Mandatory Provisions. In this Clause 26.2, “Consumer” means a natural person for a purpose which can be regarded as being outside his or her trade or profession.

FIBA/LOC and the Ticket Holder may submit any Dispute to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the State of Qatar (and, for the avoidance of doubt, this does not include the courts within the Qatar Financial Centre) (the “Qatari Courts”). In this Clause 26.3,non-exclusive” means that any of FIBA/LOC or the Ticket Holder may bring any Dispute to the jurisdiction of the Qatari Courts but none of FIBA/LOC or the Ticket Holder is required to submit a Dispute to the jurisdiction of the Qatari Courts and each may, at their discretion, submit any such Dispute to a competent court in a different jurisdiction to the extent such court accepts jurisdiction.
