MUNICH (Germany) - The first day of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European Qualifiers Second Round is behind us.

Dennis Schroder was the best among the point guards on the day, clearly wanting the defending champions to make it back to the summit. The German point guard had 23 points, 6 assists, 2 steals and an efficiency rating of 25, earning 31 fantasy points, powering Germany to a comfy win over the Netherlands.
Mario Hezonja and Mateusz Ponitka were the best among the wings, with the Croatian star getting 28 points, 7 assists and 3 rebounds, earning an efficiency rating of 28, and 34 fantasy points, while Ponitka went all-round for 24 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks, getting 38 in efficiency rating and 50 in fantasy points.
Croatia defeated Latvia, while Poland remained unbeaten on the road against Israel.
The two bigs among the Top Performers were Victor Wembanyama and Simon Birgander. Wemby had 22 points in 21 minutes, with 9 rebounds as France took down Slovenia 92-67. His efficiency rating? 24, the same as his fantasy points.
Birgander had 17 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks to help Sweden stun Finland on the road, getting a game-high 28 in efficiency rating and 40 in fantasy points.
