TBILISI (Georgia) - Georgia can always count on their leader Toko Shengelia. And, the experienced veteran was racking up numbers in a variety of categories in Monday's win over Denmark.
Shengelia finished the 89-60 victory with 27 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 5 blocks in a memorable performance - culminating in an efficiency rating of 36.
It was a statline resemblant of Victor Wembanyama - who jointly holds the European Qualifiers blocks record of 6 - with the French sensation having put up 22 points, 17 rebounds, 4 steals and those 6 blocks back in 2023.
Shengelia also became the eighth player in European Qualifiers history to have an efficiency rating of 36 or more, and helped send Georgia onwards to the Second Round.
