MIES (Switzerland) - Window 3 of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers delivered plenty of drama on the court, but it was also a historic few days for the record books.

Here is a look at the records that fell during a memorable final window of the First Round.

    Rewriting three-point record books

Angus Glover, Tyrese Proctor, Bryce Cotton and Jack McVeigh caught fire for Australia

Australia were already safely through to the Second Round, but the Boomers still found a way to make history in their 124-52 victory over Guam.

The Boomers knocked down an astonishing 24 three-pointers, setting a new record for most three-pointers made in a single FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers game.

The previous mark of 22 had been held by Mexico.

As many as seven Australians connected from beyond the arc, with Tyrese Proctor, Angus Glover, Jack McVeigh and Bryce Cotton leading the barrage.

Australia's victory margin of 72 points also stood as the largest in FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers history -- albeit for only a few hours before Croatia surpassed it with a 73-point victory over Cyprus later that day.

Mezher's performance also ranks as the second-highest assist total ever recorded in any FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers game worldwide.

The Sagesse guard added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals, helping Lebanon secure top spot in Group D and continue their unbeaten run.

Even more impressively, Lebanon finished the game with 30 assists as a team, highlighting the unselfish style that has made the Cedars one of the most entertaining sides in the Asian Qualifiers.

    Tall Blacks' offensive clinic

Tall Blacks set a bunch of records in Window 3

No team rewrote the record books more emphatically than New Zealand.

The Tall Blacks closed out the First Round with a dominant victory over Guam and, in the process, shattered several long-standing marks.

New Zealand handed out 40 assists, breaking their own Asian Qualifiers record of 38 set against Hong Kong, China in 2018. The tally also ranks as the second-highest assist total in FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers history, trailing only Croatia's 43 assists against Cyprus earlier in this same window.

    For the history books

Window 3 was about much more than qualification scenarios and dramatic finishes. It was also a celebration of offensive basketball at its very best.

Australia shot the lights out, and Ali Mezher became one of the greatest playmakers in Asian Qualifiers history. For their part, New Zealand delivered one of the most complete team performances the Qualifiers has ever seen.

If the First Round was any indication, the record books may need to make even more room when the Second Round tips off later in August.
