MIES (Switzerland) - There's a reason Jaylin Galloway and Wael Arakji are Asia Cup MVPs and we say that on display in Gameday 1 of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers.

    Who has been your favorite?

2022 Arakji played his part in the Cedars' 75-74 win over Qatar with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal to finish with +17 efficiency. Fans have become used to this kind of performance from Lebanon's star guard now, so much so that it's become a standard of what to expect.

2025 MVP Galloway then matched his predecessor by putting up 19 points in Australia's opening game win over New Zealand. Galloway might have had less impact on the board, but his 61.5 percent field goal shooting and 3 three-pointers resulted in the 22-year-old's higher efficiency.

Both guards are proving that they are not satisfied with their Continental Cup honors.
