    Colombia, Jamaica and Mexico can punch their tickets to the next stage of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers with wins on July 3.

    MIAMI (United States) – Three more teams could secure their places in the Second Round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers during the Friday, July 3. Colombia (Group C), Jamaica (Group B) and Mexico (Group A) all need victories in their respective games to advance to the next stage. Meanwhile, the Dominican Republic and the United States will face off for the top spot in Group A. In Group B, Canada, bolstered by several NBA stars, will look to extend their unbeaten run.

    Venezuela and Brazil will complete the first set of matches of Window 3, this July 4, in another duel that will be key in Group C.

    • USA have scored 100+ points in three of their four games in the World Cup 2027 Qualifiers but the only time they failed to reach that mark was in the reverse fixture against Dominican Republic (79-87); it’s already as many 100+ points performances as in their previous two campaigns of qualifiers combined (3 in 24 games).

    • Jean Montero has scored 20 or more points in three of his last five games in the World Cup Qualifiers; Dominican Republic have won all four games when Montero has scored 15+ points and have won just two of the four in which he has scored below that.

    • Terry Taylor had 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in his last game in the World Cup Qualifiers, against Mexico, the only USA player with a 10/10/5 in the competition history.

    BAH vs. JAM

    • Bahamas have only won one of their last seven games in the World Cup Qualifiers, but it was in the reverse fixture against Jamaica (99-96).

    • Jamaica are the only team in Americas to have grabbed 15+ offensive rebounds in each of their first four games in the World Cup 2025 Qualifiers.

    • Franco Miller scored a total of 51 points across his last two games with Bahamas in the World Cup Qualifiers after tallying 41 points in his five previous appearances combined; he had 32 points against Jamaica in the reverse fixture, the most by any player for Bahamas in the competition.

    • Chase Audige had 27 points against Bahamas in the reverse fixture, the best total for a Jamaican player in a World Cup Qualifiers game. He made at least three 3 pointers in each of his last three appearances in the competition.

    MEX vs. NCA

    • Mexico lost their previous home game in the World Cup 2027 Qualifiers (85-92 v Dominican Republic) but are yet to lose consecutive home games in a single campaign of qualifiers.

    • Nicaragua have lost their four games in the World Cup Qualifiers, all by margins of at least 25 points. Their bench unit has never managed to reach 20 points in any of those four games.

    • Pako Cruz has scored 16 or more points in 12 of his last 13 games for Mexico in the World Cup Qualifiers and is averaging 3.7 made 3P shots in that run.

    • Jared Ruiz has made at least three 3-pointers in each of his four appearances; he was Nicaragua’s best scorer against Mexico in the reverse fixture (26pts).

    VEN vs. BRA (July 4)

    • Venezuela have already lost two games in the World Cup Qualifiers, their first campaign with multiple defeats in the first group stage.

    • Brazil have scored at least 10 3-pointers in each of their last five away games in the World Cup Qualifiers after reaching that mark in only two of their previous seven.

    • Bruno Caboclo has scored 20+ points in four of his last seven games for Brazil in the World Cup Qualifiers; however, if he plays in this game he will make his debut in the current campaign. Caboclo is averaging 14.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game in the competition.
