RADES (Tunisia) - Guinea, South Sudan and Tunisia overpowered their opponents to reach the final day of the 2027 World Cup African Qualifiers with perfect marks of 2–0.

However, only two of these teams will finish with a score of 3-0 by the time the first round of Groups A and C comes to a close on Sunday 30 November in Rades, Tunisia.

So, what's at stake? The straightforward answer is, a lot is at stake for Cameroon, Cape Verde, Guinea, Libya, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Sudan and Tunisia.

    Here's a breakdown of Sunday's matchups:

    Cameroon vs South Sudan

Head to Head - South Sudan (3-0)

The Bright Stars of South Sudan arrived in Tunisia ready to bounce back from their disappointing campaign at the 2025 AfroBasket two months ago, and things are looking very good for Luol Deng's team in Group A.

Along with Guinea and Tunisia, South Sudan reached the final day of Window 1 of the African Qualifiers undefeated in two games.

However, taking on a Cameroon team that has bounced back from a disappointing start to the tournament will be anything but easy.

Cameroon (1–1) outperformed Libya (0–2), and a win over South Sudan (2–1) would see them tie for first place in the group with either South Sudan or Cape Verde (1–1).

    Libya vs. Cape Verde

    Head to Head (1-1)

Libya have not won a game since Sam Vincent took over before the 2025 AfroBasket and are in desperate need of different game plans to avoid returning home without a win.

Their next opponents, Cape Verde, are eager to bounce back and finish the first round of Group A with a 2–1 record.

To be fair, Libya has shown some progress, but playing without Sofian Haman and Nasseim Badrush, the latter of whom is uncertain to play in Sunday's final game due to an ankle injury, has been damaging.

The last time the two teams faced off, they shared one win apiece during the 2025 AfroBasket Qualifiers.

Mohamed Sadi and Cape Verde's star player Ivan Almeida are expected to lead their teams to victory in this highly anticipated match.

    Guinea vs. Tunisia

Head to Head - Tunisia (6-1)

These two teams have unfinished business, having last faced off during the final qualifying window of the 2025 AfroBasket Qualifiers in Libya earlier this year.

In that nerve-racking match, Tunisia secured a one-point victory at the last moment. Most of the players who featured in that unforgettable game are here in Radès, ready for a rematch.

In the run-up to Sunday's match, Guinea and Tunisia are tied at the top of Group C, with the winner set to make a strong statement for the rest of the qualifiers.

    Nigeria vs. Rwanda

Head to Head - Nigeria (4-0)

Nigeria head coach Abdulrahman Mohamed honestly admitted that his team never expected to be heading to last game of the first round of Group C without a single win. But he admitted that his team wasn't playing their full potential.

Just like Nigeria are headed to final day without a single win, beating Nigerian comes as a must-do task for the East African team.
