MUNICH (Germany) - The countdown to the 2026-27 EuroLeague Women season hit its first milestone with the announcement of the participating clubs.
There are 24 clubs that have registered for the new season, with 11 different National Federations represented in the lineup.
Reigning champions Fenerbahce Opet headline the 12 teams with direct spots in the Regular Season, with domestic league champions Kangoeroes Mechelen (BEL), Athinaikos Qualco (GRE), AZS UMCS Lublin (POL) and CS Rapid Bucuresti (ROU) among the four new additions.

The remaining four Regular Season spots will be decided through the Qualifiers, where 12 clubs will be split into four qualification paths of three teams each.
Clubs from Seed 2 and Seed 3 will meet in the Semi-Finals of each single-elimination bracket, with the winner advancing to face the Seed 1 club in the Final for a place in the Regular Season.
The losing sides will automatically be seeded for the Regular Season of the EuroCup Women.

Clubs will find out their Qualifiers and Regular Season opponents for the upcoming EuroLeague Women season at 11:00 AM CET on Thursday, July 16, when the draws take place in Munich, Germany.
The seedings will be announced prior to the respective draws and will be based on the three-year ranking of clubs in the European club competitions.
