Wigginton and Barrett prove unstoppable against Japan
CAIRO (FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2017) - Canadian teammates Lindell Wigginton and RJ Barrett teamed up for a dominant performance in their 100-75 win over Japan.
Iowa State signing Wigginton finished with 21 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 4 blocks for a 27 efficiency rating, whilst Barrett - who is still two years younger than the competition - added 20 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals.
Despite a shaky start for Canada, they overturned an early deficit in the second quarter to take control and cruise the rest of the way.
The win secured second place in Group C for Canada, as they went 2-1, sitting behind top placed finishers Spain who went undefeated.
