Can Rui Hachimura lead Japan to the Quarter-Finals?

CAIRO (FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2017) - One of the leading performers through the group stages has been Rui Hachimura, but can he lead Japan to the Quarter-Finals?

Despite finishing with a 1-2 record in Group C, the Japanese did enough to advance behind Hachimura's performances, who finished as the Group Phase leading scorer at 18.7 points per outing whilst shooting 56.1% from the field and an impressive 44.4% from beyond the arc.

The 6'8" Gonzaga forward is leading Japan in efficiency (20.3), scoring, and rebounds at 11.0 per game for a double double average.

After a breakout performance at the FIBA U17 World Championships in Dubai in August 2014, where he led the tournament in scoring (22.1ppg), could he be ready to take centre stage again?

Japan will now take on Italy in the Round of 16 on Wednesday afternoon.
