Italy all ready to fire in Zaragoza
ROME (2016 FIBA U17 Women’s World Championship) – Italy are ready to go at next week’s FIBA U17 Women’s World Championship after confirming their final roster for the prestigious event.
Looking to improve on their last appearance two years ago in Pilsen and Kaltovy which incorporated a surprise defeat at the hands of Mali, they will be hoping their highly heralded frontcourt can set the foundation for success.

High things are expected of powerhouse trio Valeria Trucco, Lorela Cuba and Sara Madera, who could be one of the most physical, commanding and potent combinations under the basket in Zaragoza.
There has also been an excellent showing of late by Martina Fassina in the warm-up games, while Elisa Pinzan will pull the strings in the backcourt again.
Italy face a daunting first phase as they will go up against fellow European rivals Czech Republic in Group C, along with defending champions USA and Korea.
