PRAGUE (FIBA U17 World Championship for Women) - Czech Republic coach Richard Fousek will jump back into the hot-seat for the newly-installed hosts of the FIBA U17 World Championship for Women with his roster once again headlined by the stellar talented Julia Reisingerova.

Fousek took his team to a silver medal last year at the U16 European Championship Women in Bulgaria and it was the daughter of famous Czech player Petra Reisingerova, who proved to be the main architect of that success.

The 1998-born center has only just turned 16-years-old and yet as one of the youngest players in Varna, she was a standout performer and subsequently voted into the All-Tournament Team.

And, having led the way in points, rebounds and blocked shots, she will undoubtedly be one of the players to look out for when the action gets underway in Klatovy and Plzen (28 June-6 July).

Not that they are a one-player team - far from it.

En-route to the podium in Varna last year, it was not only the skills of Reisingerova which drove their charge.

Coach Fousek instilled an impressive team ethic and eight players averaged over 15 minutes per game as he employed a deeper rotation than most of his rivals.

It was also notable that more than any other nation to reach the latter stages, Czech Republic really did share their offensive load and that is a trend likely to continue when they make their debut at the U17 level.

Few sides are able to reach finals of tournaments without a single player in the top 10 of the scoring charts and yet Reisingerova only scraped into the top 15 in the competition for points scored last year.

Fans should also watch out for the quick hands and defensive intensity of Tereza Sipova who is also likely to be a vital ingredient once again, while the do-it-all Petra Holesinska is a player who can be hard to shackle.

The team has already arranged preparation games against France and China so far, with more to be confirmed in coming weeks.

The Czech Republic will open up their Group A campaign against Korea, then match-up against Hungary and Canada.
