China confirm squad tasked with returning former glories
BEIJING (FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2017) - China have named the 12 players who have been given the task of bringing back the good times when they step out at the FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2017.
If China don't manage to lift the silverware in Bengaluru, the traditional Asia juggernauts will record a third consecutive blank - something unthinkable after their previous dominance at the event.

Huang Hongpin | Li Meng | Sun Mengran | Zhao Shuang |
Huang Sijing | Gao Song | Shao Ting | Lu Wen |
Chen Xiaojia | Shi Xiufeng | Shen Yi | Li Yueru |
Leading the way in their title bid is Sun Mengran, who played so impressively in Rio last year, while there will also be significant roles for her fellow forward Shao Ting.
The backcourt will be patrolled by Chen Xiaojia, who dished up more than 4 assists per game at the Olympics.
One of the most interesting newcomers is Li Yueru, who has excelled in the youth ranks with some phenomenal numbers. Although her inclusion will be a blow to the hopes of China at the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup which runs at the same time.
China will look to get rolling on Sunday 23 July in an attractive fixture against New Zealand.
