Lebanon and Thailand top Asian Qualifiers to advance to Global Challenge

MIES (Switzerland) - The FIBA U17 Women's Skills Challenge 2020 Asian Qualifiers, taking place from August 14-15, features 10 national teams from Asia and Oceania competing for two tickets to the Global Challenge to be held later in August.

Day 2 - Saturday, August 15

Lebanon and Thailand qualified for the FIBA U17 Women's Global Skills Challenge. Lebanon's qualification came at the expense of Singapore, while Thailand narrowly defeated Iran in an exciting matchup.

Day 1 - Friday, August 14

Similar to the Men’s competition, West Asian giants Iran and Lebanon advanced to the Semi-finals after topping the Women’s Group A and B leaderboards.

Southeast Asian duo Thailand and Singapore also joined Iran and Lebanon in the Semis.

Fiji forfeited three out of their four matchups against Iran, Singapore, and Papua New Guinea.
