HERAKLION (2015 FIBA U19 World Championship) - Canada started their 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship just how they wanted, winning a dog fight against a tough opponent in beating Australia74-71, in Group C.

Turning Point: Up 68-65 inside the final minute, Jadon Cohee and Dillon Brooks combined to make six of six free throws in the final 17 seconds to secure the victory.

Stats Don't Lie: Canada made 14-of-25 free throws compared to 8-of-13 for Australia and out-shot Australia 42 percent to 36 percent.

Game Hero: Brooks didn't just hit the final free throws with 5.2 seconds remaining, he led Canada with 22 points to go with six rebounds.

The Bottom Line: Canada came up with a big start in what will be a tough Group C, which also includes Italy. Australia must bounce back with a match-up waiting on Day 2 versus Italy.
