Italy show their class in blowout of Tunisia

HERAKLION (2015 FIBA U19 World Championship) - Italy showed their class as they eased past Tunisia89-62, with Diego Flaccadori’s 21 points pacing four players in double figures in their Group C opener at the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship.

Turning Point: Italy jumped ahead 11-3 to start the game and used a 15-5 run at the end of the first half to lead 51-31 and never looked back.

Stats Don't Lie: Italy dominated Tunisia in every important category, hitting 47 percent from the field while holding the Africans to 35 percent for the game and 6.7 percent from long range and out-rebounding them 51-33.

Game Hero: Flaccadori was the leader for Italy with 21 points, eight assists, four rebounds and a steal. 

The Bottom Line: Italy avoided a first-game slip-up and did a good job of getting other players involved with 22 assists. Tunisia - one of the youngest teams at the competition - got a good taste of the level of the competition right off the bat.
