New highs for Enisey, Elan Chalon in Power Rankings, while Gravelines continue to struggle

MUNICH (FIBA Europe Cup) - The names at the top of the FIBA Europe Cup Power Rankings remain the same midway through the Second Round, with Nanterre 92 still leading the field after teams completed the first cycle of fixtures in their groups.

Pau-Lacq-Orthez, Enisey and a number of other top teams capitalized on a great fall by Vytautas and improved their positions in the top part of the rankings, while Sodertalje Kings and Redwell-Gunners sprung themselves from the bottom with maiden wins in the Second Round.

1. Nanterre 92 (3-0)  DJ Khaled is pumping out in the Nanterre locker room this week, because yep, all they do is win and they stay at the top of the table.
2. Telekom Baskets
(3-0)
They came, they saw, they conquered. Telekom Baskets blew out Group M co-leaders Vytautas like it was no big deal without even thinking twice about it.
3. Pau-Lacq-Orthez
(2-1)
Was the loss in Romania just a coincidence? Pau-Lacq-Orthez would have you believe it was. And they brought evidence last week, routing Alba Fehervar by 26 points in France.
4. Enisey (3-0) Is it a bird, is it a plane? Nope, just Enisey climbing in the Power Rankings for the second week in a row after another convincing victory.
5. Demir Insaat
(3-0)
Although overtime was needed against BCM Gravelines, Demir Insaat still got the job done on the road against the French club and are firmly in front in Group H.
6. Elan Chalon
(3-0)
Chi-ching! Three in a row for Elan Chalon in the Second Round, with Axel Bouteille showing no signs of cooling down with another high-scoring performance against Gaziantep.
7. Vytautas (2-1) All good things come to an end, so did Vytautas' unbeaten run in the Second Round, as the Lithuanian side crashed tumbling down in Bonn. Can they pick up the pieces and mend something back together?
8. U-BT Cluj-Napoca
(2-1)
Aleksandar Rasic crowned back-to-back wins for U-BT Cluj-Napoca with back-to-back Top Performers appearances. With a three-way tie atop Group O, the Romanian side will need more of the same going forward.
9. Gaziantep (2-1) It’s hard to put a positive spin on getting rocked by 19 points in the game for first place, but the good thing for Gaziantep is they’re only one game behind Elan Chalon in the win column.
10. Lukoil Academic (2-1)
Still trying to decide which was better: ornament star decorations on the Universiada Hall’s ceiling or the 26-point Lukoil Academic victory against the visiting Donar.
11. Kormend (2-1)
The 'lucky loser' luck has rubbed off on Kormend in the Second Round. Having qualified as one of the best third-placed teams, the Hungarians are going strong with two wins in a row.
12. Alba Fehervar (2-1)  After a big loss to Pau-Lacq-Orthez, Alba Fehervar had to transfer the Hungarian bragging rights to Kormend, but could spring right back up with a positive result in the next game.
13. Antwerp Giants
(2-1)
After trailing for three quarters against Prievidza, Antwerp Giants eventually did win the the game of catch against the Slovakian visitors for their second win in Group L.
14. Tsmoki Minsk (1-2) The short-handed Tsmoki side made Power Rankings leaders Nanterre nervous on the road in France, but were ultimately sunk by Chris Warren’s three-pointers.
15. Donar Groningen (1-2) Down 18 points and a couple of minutes left to play against Luokoil Academic, Donar coach Erik Braal took a timeout just to remind his side to play for every single point, because point differential matters. Groningen lost by 26 points. Uh-oh…
16. Sodertalje Kings (1-2) Impressive win against Mures. Do the royal comeback virtuosos from Sodertalje have a grand plan to storm from behind in Group K standings as well?
17 Redwell-Gunners (1-2) Chris Chougaz is one happy coach, with his youngsters claiming their first win in the Second Round before six other teams in the FIBA Europe Cup.
18. Prievidza (1-2)  Prievidza’s fairytale story seemed to be back on track, but a fourth-quarter collapse in Belgium didn’t allow the Slovakian side to convert on the road.
19. BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque (0-3) If this was a game of limbo, this is pretty much as low as BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque can go with the talent at their disposal.
20. Bnei Herzliya (0-3) Someone might have tinkered with the rims at Bnei Herzliya’s home court, because the Israeli side dropped its second game in a row at the Hyuvel Hall after winning all three in the Regular Season.
21. Pardubice
(0-3)

When it comes to qualifying for the Round of 16, Pardubice are in a minefield with their eyes closed. While getting through alive might not be out of the question in theory, things look very different in practice.
22. APOEL (0-3) Winning is overrated! APOEL moved up a spot in the Power Rankings by virtue of, you can put it this way, not having to travel to Krasnoyarsk.
23. SL Benfica
(0-3)
Losing by 30 points to Enisey was tough, but at least SL Benfica picked up quite a few Foursquare badges along their way to Siberia back.
24. BC Mures
(0-3)
Can someone turn up the heating down here? Already last in the Power Rankings, BC Mures traveled to Sweden without Martinic, Mohammed and Barham. The result was an expected one.
