CRETE (FIBA U20 European Championship 2017) - In a pulsating finale to the Group Phase of the FIBA U20 European Championship 2017, Greece and Spain clinched top spot of their respective groups on Day 3.

Greece came from behind to defeat a gallant Germany 86-77, while Spain edged out Serbia 88-87 in a thrilling contest befitting the sizeable expectations.

France clinched top-spot with a methodical 71-54 demolition of Turkey, while Iceland started Day 3 with a fairytale 60-50 comeback victory over Montenegro. It was their first ever win in Division A of the FIBA U20 European Championship.

Elsewhere, Israel clinched top spot of Group C with a 91-83 victory over Ukraine, while Lithuania, Sweden and Slovenia also enjoyed wins.

The FIBA U20 European Championship continues on Wednesday with the Round of 16 and the following pairings:
