UMMC slide past Prague, claim bronze

EKATERINBURG (EuroLeague Women Final Four) – UMMC Ekaterinburg signed off their EuroLeague Women season on a winning note after taking the last podium step at The Final Four with a 68-63 success against ZVVZ USK Prague.

Turning Point: While UMMC were able to cope with the loss of Diana Taurasi, this wasn't the case for Prague as they lost their leading light Sonja Petrovic at the start of the fourth quarter due to an injury. You also have to give credit to UMMC for some nice defensive plays and blocks in the last 90 seconds of the contest.

Stats Don't Lie: As well as they played across the weekend in two very tight games, ZVVZ USK Prague will be kicking themselves at how their perimeter game deserted them. They were an eye-watering 2-of-16 from long-range. UMMC were also able to get 39 points from their bench compared to 15 points for their opponents.

Game Hero: Belgian star Emma Meesseman really made the difference. She finished with a fine double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds.
