Who's the best signing of the EuroLeague Women off-season?

MUNICH (Germany) - It's been a typically hectic off-season for EuroLeague Women clubs and as the countdown continues to the Regular Season, it's time to check out some of the best signings of the summer.

You can also contribute in the fan vote below by letting us know who you think is the best signing from the leading candidates.

Alina Iagupova - Cukurova Basketbol Mersin

With an arguably shorter rotation at Cukurova, could the return of Iagupova be the determining factor that crowns them first-time champions? It's entirely possible since the Ukrainian ace will have more capacity to do her thing and to get back to dominating games.

Having finished second last season, Cukurova needed something special and different, with the winger able to provide it. Her scoring and creating power is electric and if she settles back in and has a good rapport with Coach Roberto Iniguez - happy days are ahead!

Sika Kone - Perfumerias Avenida

Is there a basketball fan anywhere that hasn't been waiting to see young Mali sensation Sika Kone finally take a bow in EuroLeague Women? Her displays on the international stage have been breathtaking. Now she has the chance to show she can do it at club level.

A walking double-double, the fans at Pabellon Wurzburg will love her and are in for a treat. She'll get better with better players around her and is capable of forming a knockout partnership in the paint with Mariella Fasoula. What an exciting pickup.

Arella Guirantes - Beretta Famila Schio

After her debut at the FIBA Basketball World Cup in Sydney this time last year, the Puerto Rico standout continued her hot form into a maiden EuroLeague Women campaign for first-timers DVTK Hun-Therm.

The guard was outstanding and if she can get anywhere near that level for Schio, the Italian club will feel they have a shot at making Final Four again. The note of caution is that many players have exploded in their first year, but can find the second season a bigger struggle when they're nearer the top of the scouting reports.

Yvonne Anderson - Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding

What the reigning EuroLeague Women champions have with the addition of Anderson is that priceless combination of quality and experience - something which is vital when you are looking to fill the shoes of a class act like Courtney Vandersloot.

The Serbian national team guard has done it at the highest level and especially defensively, the Turkish juggernauts have someone who can deliver and that will please new head coach, Valerie Garnier. A difference-maker, if Anderson plays her usual level, she should do very well.

Diamond Miller - Serco UNI Gyor

Of all the players getting ready to step out for the first time in EuroLeague Women, it could be that Miller turns out to be the most eye-catching - at least if she continues her great work from her superb first WNBA season.

UNI Gyor have likely placed a lot of their eggs in this particular basket and will be hoping she can make a quick adjustment to the competition. But she certainly has the scoring touch and quality that could result in her swinging tight games Gyor's way as the Hungarian club awaits an exciting return to action.

Virag Kiss - Cukurova Basketbol Mersin

Coming off a brilliant club season in EuroCup Women with NKA Universitas PEAC and then a similarly impactful FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2023 with Hungary when they made a sparkling run to the Semi-Finals, this is a big challenge at Cukurova for Kiss.

But it is also a deserved opportunity to show she can continue on this upward trajectory and she is likely to thrive being pushed by Coach Iniguez. Last year's finalists have signed a really good baller who could put up some nice numbers and performances at her new home.

Lauren Cox - Virtus Segafredo Bologna

After impressing at Valencia Basket in her first EuroLeague Women campaign, the American frontcourt star has made the switch to Italy as Virtus try to finally deliver against their ambition and expectation.

While massive numbers are not necessarily her thing, Cox is likely to be a real rock under the basket and she has a hard edge to her game which the Italian club arguably lacked last season. She has already shown her value with the game-winning bucket against Schio that handed Virtus the Italian SuperCup for the first time.

Angela Salvadores - Basket Landes

This one came out of leftfield. Truly, It doesn't look like a fit on paper, but if you turn convention and logic on its head, sometimes you see the value in taking a risk and going for something different.

The Spanish baller has endless amounts of talent and has had her ups and downs, but if Landes can let her roam free and do her thing, this maverick player could be such a huge 'X-Factor'. Salvadores has already shown her skills in the French Cup of Champions where Landes beat ASVEL. And, yes, it could blow up at any time, but if Salvadores settles, Landes could get the best out of her,
