Week 7 Top Performers: Ortiz, Meesseman, Howard, Fiebich, Hristova

MUNICH (Germany) - There were several impressive individual performances that grabbed the spotlight during Week 7 as we reached the halfway point of the Regular Season.

But it was Mariona Ortiz of Casademont Zaragoza who won the Player of the Week honors with a staggering 68 percent of the votes, with ACS Sepsi-SIC game-winning hero Borislava Hristova coming in second with 14 percent.

Mariona Ortiz had a EuroLeague Women career night for Casademont Zaragoza as their excellent first season in the competition continued. The Spanish outfit soared to a one-sided 64-42 success at Polski Cukier AZS UMCS Lublin, with the guard racking up a massive performance efficiency valuation of 36 after accumulating 18 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals.

She is joined in the top performers lineup by her teammate Leonie Fiebich who also excelled in the backcourt and on the wings by dropping 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to keep Zaragoza rolling strong.

Emma Meesseman continues to be one of the form players of the competition and she produced another excellent display as Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding won their seventh straight game in a row. She harvested 16 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals in an 81-64 victory against DVTK HUN-Therm.

Ensuring Fenerbahce stand alone as the only team still perfect and having yet tasted defeat was Meesseman's frontcourt partner Natasha Howard who also shone. She finished with 22 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.

Finally, what a night it was for ACS Sepsi-SIC who joyfully attained a first ever Regular Season victory by slipping past LDLC ASVEL Feminin 86-85. Their historic moment was delivered from the hand of Borislava Hristova who scored the decisive basket and stepped off court with 27 points, 7 boards and 3 steals.
