Frontcourt duo share Top Performer Honors

MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) - For the first time this season, Top Performer honors have been shared, going to Marija Rezan and Emma Meesseman, who fill out this week's squad under the basket.

Both players, who are adept at playing center or power forward, recorded efficiency rankings of 34, in victories for their respective teams. Following a less than perfect season by their own high standards, UMMC Ekaterinburg finally hit their straps on Wednesday night as Meesseman led her Russian club to a 96-53 victory over domestic rivals Nadezhda. Belgian international Meesseman recorded 19 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals and 4 blocks.

Meanwhile, in Lille, ZVVZ USK Praha were strengthening their post-season credentials with a 72-59 win against ESBVA-LM. Rezan was unstoppable in the paint for Praha, finishing with a 20-point, 15-rebound double-double.

There is another duo in this week's team, in the form of Serbian internationals Ana Dabovic and and Sonja Petrovic. In Salamanca, Fenerbahce's Dabovic scored 24 points on 6-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc. However, she will be left ruing a late offensive foul, handing the impetus to Perfumerias Avenida to push on for the 65-64 win.

The news was better for Petrovic and Dynamo Kursk who continued their unbeaten stroll through the Regular Season, taking down the visiting Bourges Basket 94-63. The ever-present Petrovic completed the game with 20 points and 7 rebounds, making 8-of-11 from the field.

Petrovic was not the only player doing big things for Dynamo Kursk, teammate Epiphany Prince rounding out this week's team. She ended the game with 17 points, 6 assists and 5 steals.
