Semi-Finals Second Leg Top Performers: Shepard, Li, Winterburn, Fagbenle, Canella

MUNICH (Germany) - The EuroCup Women Semi-Finals second leg games threw up plenty of standout performances including those wearing the jersey of history making duo, London Lions and Besiktas.

You can choose who you think is MVP by casting your vote in the fan poll below.

It was a bitter-sweet experience this week  for Jessica Shepard who produced her trademark headline performance for Umana Reyer Venice, but it was not sufficient to avoid them losing 71-59 at London Lions. That meant they didn't make it to the Final, but she did all she could with an exceptional 21 points and 13 rebounds.

Two of the reasons for London advancing were the guard play of Holly Winterburn and the poise in the paint forward Temi Fagbenle. The former dropped some huge shots and finished with an eye-catching 17 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. Meanwhile, Fagbenle dropped 14 points to go with her 9 boards and 4 assists.

Besiktas always hoped their coup of signing Chinese center Yueru Li would pay dividends and having featured in the first leg Top Performers, she is back again after another superb showing. She accumulated 12 points and 15 rebounds, as well as swatting two shots as her team beat Spar Girona for a second time, 68-66.

The Spanish team will be disappointed not to have progressed or to have beaten Besiktas in either contest, although guard Marta Canella can hold her head high after impressing home fans with 13 points, 8 boards and 2 steals.
